Normally I'm very optimistic. I'm the Yin to Heinzmustard's yang. I always expect things to improve week to week. I generally believe it's execution not play calling.

In general the game turns on 4-6 plays. Fix those 4-6 and you will be alright.

Right now, I'm calling BS on myself.

What really pissed me off was tomlins challenge. Many days I am screaming at the ale house for tomlin to challeng. Dose he? NO. Tonight the ball clearly hit the deck and AB trapped it. so tomlin challenges it. Believe it or not. AB HAD A GOOD GAME. NO ONE ELSE DID

For what it's worth, I watched AB talk Tomlin into throwing the red flag. You should be able to trust the guy who was trying to make the catch.

No they haven't, against Baltimore Bell had over 100 yards and Ben was only sacked 1-2 times.

Yeah if you got 25 million to pay Cousins, I wouldn't exactly call that stealing.

I'm sure AB is happy tonight, he got his stats that's what is important to him.

id listen to the guy trying to make the catch, but I'd listen to my guys in the booth too. AB probably truly believes he catches everything. But when you saw the replay did you think there was a 1% chance they'd win the challenge? I didn't.

Tomlin get roasted around here after a loss, and I think overly so. But, if I were Art Rooney, I'd give the replay challenge responsibility to someone else. Like maybe that guy on the street corner who wears sunglasses, carries a white cane, and has a very pleasant guide dog.

Todd Haley needs to get back to basics, the offense needs to hang its hat on something.

Back in the Cowher days that meant power run with a fullback ;)

Yes thank you. Run the ball and stop the run. I don’t care if offenses changed, we need to get back to basics.

Ben 20-25 throws with PA mixed

Sean Davis' lack of evolution has not served those outside runs justice either; Artie Burns the same via containment when called upon.

For two highly touted "physical backs", they are not living up to their draft status.

    Tomlin's challenges made me irate.

More importantly, who is upstairs watching the plays? Someone's 90 year old grandparents? Neither challenge was even close to being turned over.

Yeah I rarely hear Davis name called. I wonder if Gay could transition to safety?

I do not think that would benefit much as it stands. Gap containment everywhere not accounting for the interior plus TJ Watt needs fixed. From Davis, Williams Burns, and Dupree, they need to improve their discipline.

Agree with many here on the terrible challenge. Sooo obvious that hit the ground.

The only way we score 30 points is if we play a Keith Butler defense. Not a fan of either coordinator right now. Haley is way too predictable and I don't think Butler is the guy to run this D. After Chicago's running game kicked our butt, I thought there would be some adjustments. I thought it was pretty evident Jax wanted to run the ball early on, so why aren't you selling out to stop the run and let Bortles try to beat you with the pass? Missed tackles on the player's side is maddening as well.

So AB wanted to kneel. Why does this not surprise me? Trust me, AB, the team's decision to keep you off of the sidelines that day was hugely beneficial to you and others who may have planned on kneeling. Sorry you can't see that.

They are in shotgun a lot due to Ben's limitations. A lot of the playcalling we hate is because it plays into Ben's strengths and avoids his weaknesses.

    This is the thing.

Up until half-time, I was actually quite optimistic. Anyone who has been watching the league knows that Jacksonville have a solid defense and a good run game. So it didn't surprise me that it was close. But our D looked fairly good at that point, and the O was finding its feet (with all the usual red zone problems etc.).

Then the offense comes out in the second half going no-huddle, and it looks really good... then Ben starts making the bizarrest decisions I remember him ever taking.

It's like - if a defender has the QB wrapped up, and the QB is big enough to stand through it - DON'T LOOK FOR a BOMB TO THE EZ, THROW THE BALL AWAY!

If there's nobody in the middle of the field except a Jags LB - DON'T THROW IT TO HIM!

If AB is double covered - LOOK FOR THE GUY WHO IS OPEN!

You're laying that on the defense?

If a team's QB play is so bad that the defense needs to pitch a shutout and score points to be playing winning ball, then that team is in for loooonnnggg days.

Its not about pitching a shutout...The Offense is why we lost the game...5 INTs...21 points off turnovers is why we lost the game...but giving up 200 yards on the ground will NEVER be winning football.

    HACK
