Pats released him. He had trouble staying healthy in Oakland but had been good of late and was impressing with NE. They just have a tough unit to crack into.

They cut him to make room for AB. Colbert should definitely take a look, size and speed, safety/LB. I was a huge fan of his coming out of college.

Who doesn't go. I would have cut half this team before sunrise. (Half kidding).

I wonder if Kevin would actually forgo the third QB for another Safety. Perhaps Jordan Dangerfield?! I seriously doubt he gets the boot.

Could you start with Bud Dupree then?!

Loved the guy in college but I question what he can offer.

Do you realize the mass suicide that would happen if they didn't call Duck back in and called LJ instead?

Ive come to the conclusion talent evaluation is better left to those of you with a better eye. I watched some Vikings games and I thought the weak link for their defense was the safety named Harris. He got picked on all preseason and wasn't making plays. Then yesterday he was all over the place doing nothing but making plays, Interception, fumble recovery, big hit to prevent a completion

If rather draft #32.... but yeah, he impressed on film when I was watching Greedy Williams’ tape.

Is he a true FS? Because that’s what we need, not just another SS.

At least he had a sack last night. Watt who I love did pretty much nothing.

The Patriots built their entire blocking scheme around Watt. They dared the other 10 players to do something and they couldn't. There is plenty of blame to go around from last night, but Watt deserves none of it.

Saw that when it happened. Ball skills our guys can only dream of. I was very interested in Hooker for us in the draft

Doubt it. Dude is one of the most versatile players in the upcoming draft. One can even make the argument he is the best overall player in the draft.

Delpit is just that good. Think Derwin James but two inches taller. I do not think athletically he is the same but in terms of versatility, they are carbon copies.

I say that is more so a sign of respect Bill Belichick is giving Watt than Dupree. I am not discounting Dupree's sack by any means. My issue is that Dupree got manhandled for much of the game up to that point.

    Sadly no.

Obi is a modern hybrid player. He is LEAGUES more athletic than Kameron Kelly. How much though would that factor in remains to be seen. Besides, I would imagine the Steelers targeting a TE given the fact that only McDonald and Grimble were dressed.

Who goes if Delpit is drafted though?! He can fill any role within the back end but he is best used as a hybrid defender overall. A Single High Free Safety role is not his strongest suit.

Slim pickings at TE or we’d already have one. If the first game is any indication they have a lot less faith in Grimble than some posters here certainly had. For me unless a FS becomes available I’m not interested in another hybrid player trying to learn our system when the guys already here can’t even.

Watt was doubled all night. I am not sure but was Bud doubled?

If you cut half of the team they will be pro bowlers somewhere else. I don’t think it’s the players, we need direction from the coaching staff.

Boy oh boy. Wish I could tell you who is available at Free Safety. I am still a bit confused as to why Mike Hilton has yet to actually play some snaps in Regular Season action. Saw some of it in the Pre-Season. If not him, why not Cameron Sutton?!
