I think the whole team new they werent going to win at that point. Not sure they gave up...but just yeah...haha.

And while I do actually like Manning and think he's an awesome QB (he'll be playing at 45 years old, haha)...but yes...enough talk...yes its a big story/etc...but wow.

What do you do with this oline? Line up the guys you have and just play.

    Starks, Colon, Pouncey, Foster, Gilbert.
    Adams, Legursky and Bechum.

This is all we have for the season until DeCastro comes back and I don't think he'll be that much of an upgrade over Foster.
Coaching up and hope Ben lasts the season.

Might want to see what Essex and Kemo are doing.

That might be my biggest lament from last night. They sure seemed to have just quit. That is never acceptable.

Was Denver running a standard 4-3 alignment on defense? It looked like they were staggered more in the gaps instead of lined up man to man and it made it difficult for the OLine to get body positioning. It looked like once they had to dbl team an DE or DT then Miller would shoot the gap created. Did Del RIo pattern his defensive plan after the Eagles game?

Well, i don't think they will ever be the dominant group we had in years past but some of the same issues that should of been corrected.

-getting off your man when someone loops around (stunts)
-getting pulled rushed right into the face of the qb
-if you don't have anyone to block, go block somebody.
-penalties. I know everyone has them. But the same one back to back.
-can't create space for our running backs.

Kevin Colbert- News Flash! If we drafted two lineman in the first two drafts to replace two guys we had last year. Why are they still on the team?

We have been trying to replace Starks for it seem like 10 years but he ends up being our best left tackle. We replaced our starting RG but i don't think DeCastro should of unseated Foster. But look at our backups. Legursky, Adams, Bechum. Then our starters. Starks, Colon, Pouncey, Foster and Gilbert. The starters aren't bad if they can stay healthy but we need some backups in the worst way. Even some cheap ones would be fine.

Over 600 players got cut just over a week ago, I kno they are someone out there that is better than Legursky, Adams and Beachum.

Well, let me take that back, we did cut Kemo, Essex, and Scott.

I will give Beachum a pass but does he strike you as one that should be in there? I would rather have Kemo and Essex and Scott back then the three we have now. But you have to start somewhere and start developing talent.

But legursky is nothing more than a back up center. Adams should never see the field this year. He is not strong enough or talented enough yet. We might should of taken Cordy Glenn instead of Mike Adams. But it is what it is.

Ok, that still leaves 597 players who we should at least take a look at. Legs looks like he should be playing in arena football. He's small, slow, and can't block anyone. Starks is big, slow, and can't block anyone. Same with Gilbert and Adams. Even Pouncey was getting beat last night. I'm starting to wonder if it's a coaching problem. At some point in time Kugler has to take some responsibility for our guys not playing well game after game.

I thought the oline overall did ok. I grade them a C considering they lost 2 of their starters. I thought pass protection (except for the end when we were out of it) was good and it was the run blocking that was worse. Thank god Dwyer can cut it back becasue I don't think there was a hole to speak of between the tackles. We were definitely getting stood up at the line on run plays. I have never seen a team shuffle thorugh lineman like the Steelers have in the last 2 or 3 years. I see this happening again this year and have set my expectation for this once DeCastro went down.

Again, I believe our starters are ok. If they stay healthy but we have learn over the years that they don't, and we need quality backups who can come in and start right off the bat. Everyone gets beat every now and then but we are okay. No improvement from last year though but we had worst. Starks has been on this team at least 10 years and through that 10 years we couldn't find a better left tackle? I mean he's adequate but I think he's would be a better right tackle. Gilbert is only in his second year and Adams is a rookie. DeCastro should be ok but he's injured and we'll never know this year what he can be. Colon and Pouncey are fine but I would like to fine someone for Colon and make him a permanent back up. If it wasn't for Legursky's skill at center he would be in the unemployment line. We need to fine someone for him as well.
