Meyer will be judged by how the OL does this season, if they struggle he won't be back next season I think his contract is up after the season.

Happened frequently under Cowher. Cowher fired somebody every year.

I really like this comment and analysis. The talking heads will forever drone about the QB or WR, but the bottom line the O-Line is main determination of how well this team performs. That unit has to takeover games for the Steelers to have any chance and have been a problem for several years.

We also need to start generating more pass rush. Trenches.

Look at the Superbowl. KC's O-Line was not good enough and the Eagles pass rush ate them alive.

It was 1 year too late at least....It was tragic he was back at the start of the 2023 season even if everyone knew he was a all-time OC...In the NFL only the steelers would keep him after 2 awful years on offense

I would agree with this if it actually made any sense

With my advanced intellect (;)) I’ll fix it for you
    • K. Dotson - Absolutely horrible at pass blocking on the Rams coaching wasn’t the issue
    • K. Green - Started 15 games with the Steelers only started 4 games in 2 years after he left
    • B. Jones - Started games as a rookie started 16 games at a position he hadn’t played
    • S. Anderson - 7th rd pick started 4 games
    • M. McCormick - Started 14 games as a rookie
    • T. Fautanu - Started the first game of the season as a rookie
    • Z. Frazier - Started 15 games as a rookie

The elephant in the offensive line room is Broderick Jones. His play has carried over to the left side. Now injured.

Floating in bust territory. His technique is bad as well as his offensive thought process. This has been reported by Pittsburgh sports reporters at training camp.

How they handle it going forward if he struggles is anyone's guess. Hopefully the light switch goes on.

    Dotson had injuries last season including an ankle sprain. Didn't see him do this in Pittsburgh;

Green should never have started a game. Jones hasn't looked any better than his rookie season. McCormick's blown block rate is 2X Dotson's in LA.

It's just not the way they like to do things. You should know that. It's not that it has never happened, but in the History of the Steelers, it's not their style.

While at the same time, many would say that he scapegoat other coaches. I remember reading that back in the day. I Loved Cowher, but He also got rid of a OC that turned around, and won not one, but 2 SBs.

I believe because Rooney hired him. I don't care what anyone says. If You check Canada's history, nobody on the team knew him better than Rooney.
