Alex Leatherwood might be on the way out of LV. I know he's a Tackle but maybe a change of sceneary and a switch to Guard could improve things for him.

I think the Raiders did move him to guard already, they reached for him in the first round.

    Offensive line
The top end of the offensive line group this year is loaded with talent. Most of the big names have already signed, but there are some remaining free agents that could make an impact on new teams.

    1) JC Tretter, Cleveland Browns
    2) Eric Fisher, Indianapolis Colts
    3) Duane Brown, Seattle Seahawks
    4) Bobby Massie, Denver Broncos
    5) Jason Peters, Chicago Bears
    6) Brandon Shell, Seattle Seahawks
    7) Tyrell Crosby, Detroit Lions

Not sure the salary cap but JC Tretter seems to be a good C that could help push Cole to RG.

I can’t believe the Steelers didn’t try and sign Bradley Bozeman. Carolina got him for only $2.8 mill/yr. He would have been a huge upgrade to our O Line.

no to leatherwood. cam erving may be a thought. there were rumors a couple of months ago of brandon shell being a possibility. evidently nothing materialized. i still think we will be alright if they get the right combo of the guys we have, and they get in sync. not the band either.

Brown signed with the Jets already, Fisher is washed up, he wasn't good with the Colts last year, Peters is like 40 years old .

Disappointing to read so much dumpster diving to fantasy resolve our OL dilemma that I'd hope we wouldn't/ shouldn't be in this close to the reg season starting. This OL didn't just get bad overnight. I wonder if anyone has changed their mind about who we drafted in the 1st rd the past few years? I am of the opinion that the OL is the engine of an offense that dictates what an offense should be able to do. JMO>

Listening to Cowherd this morning talk about the Steelers O Line and how bad it is. Made the point that the Steelers havent made a 1st or 2nd round pick on the O line in a decade, Some teams like the Chiefs focus on the Oline. The Steelers focus on safeties, linebackers, and wide receivers. You cant focus on all areas and have elite talent everywhere. Wasn't criticizing them but more making a point as to why the O line is in the condition it is.

Sad to see, we could have probably brought him in cheap. Oh well!

your opinion is correct - I thought Tomlin figured out, after he inherited an OLINE that sucked (ok - struggled mightily in Ben's early years) , he built it to very good - only to let it dissolve again. and coaching, Tomlin blew it w OLINE coaching...
