BJ and JPJ was supposed to be all pro players this year. Both have disappointed. You can't build when you are constantly having to replace the same positions year in and year out.

I feel most of the season our tackles were the issue, but this past month the interior of the line just fell apart.

I'm hoping Zach is the real deal and will make a 2nd year jump, but I don't know about our guards. Seumalo is past his prime. And is McCormick a legit starter of just a really good back up?

McCormick wasn't supposed to start this season. He was supposed to be third string, but injuries forced him into the lineup. That put two rookies next to one another. I wonder if Seumalo's preseason injury bothered him all year. Maybe it is just age, but I don't think he was healthy.

The tackles are a problem. Moore fell apart late in the season. Jones continues to make bonehead mistakes. If you've seen the clip of the run play on which both Moore and Jones pulled, it is pretty clear that Jones is the one who screwed up. He should have joined McCormick in a double-team at the snap, then slid off to take the linebacker with Moore blocking the edge. INstead, there was nowhere for Warren to go.

This shouldn't happen even once, but multiple times? Fire the offensive line coach Monday.

This is a poorly coached team. They were constantly out of position on defense in the last two games against the Ravens. The plan to have the outside linebackers collapse on Henry was a disaster. The constant breakdowns on defense during the second half of the season were inexcusable.

Tomlin gets $15m a year to produce these results. Go hire the Notre Dame guy, Hines Ward, somebody anyone, I'm grasping.

I wouldn't judge them differently next season. I said year 3. Rookie Center, Rookie RG, first year full time starter at RT. Next season will probably see a Rookie LT.

I agree it can come together faster. Doesn't mean it will or is somebody's fault if it doesn't happen faster. Just saying it is at the 3 year mark when you know for sure if it will come together.

The OL is porous right now, but they have the pieces in place. Give this young unit sometime to gel.
Plus, a new OL coach would be good. Much bigger problems with defense.

Why would there be a rookie left tackle? I assume it is going to either be Jones or Fautanu.

Jones has been mishandled, JPJ is just all hands. That ws my concern and here we are.

Truth is though, the development of players on this team is sub par.

Fautanu would be a rookie at LT.

No, he wouldn't. It was only one game, but he played this season. He even started that day.

Jones sucks. If he was such an elite talent it should not matter what side of the line he is on.

I have seen this multiple times over the course of the season and more often than not it's Jones that ****s up. I just think he is too stupid for the NFL. He stays in the lineup right now due to injuries to the backups.

Did he really say this, responding to something about us needing to have a bad year to draft a good QB - “Lamar wasn’t taken at the top of the draft. Hurts wasn’t taken in the first round.”?

After a big swing and miss with Pickett at #20, does he really think anyone is confident that the Steelers know how to find a hidden QB gem in later rounds? And then develop him?

1 of 43 first round QBs have won the SB. Mahomes. That's the list.

Even with good coaching, Munchak said it takes 4 or 5 seasons for a lineman to really get it.

And we don’t have good coaching, we have ****ty coaching. Plus playing him out of position, not a good recipe for success. Dotson played himself into a nice contract after experiencing our ****ty coaching and being played out of position. Let’s not be impatient with Jones.

Well Dotson went to a new team, played his natural position and became All Pro.

    I wouldn’t trust Jones to guard a QB’s blindside. He’s too dumb.

A teams odds of getting a good to great QB in the top 10 are exponentially better than anywhere else in the draft. However, if you want to go ahead and continue to name the outliers that is fine.

Yes, they could get lucky in rounds 2 or 3.
