Yea they’ve claimed him off waivers.

Looked great preseason. We’re gonna regret letting him slip

Good luck to him though, great story!

Yeah he looks good in the preseason, but so did the rest of the defense and how did they look last night? I’m not too worried about losing this guy. Another training camp hero!

Best of luck to the Skipper.

He seemed like a great guy. If not for Ola and Gilbert showing promise, he could of stuck around.

Would of rather had him here than Holton, but is what it is at this point.

The problem is playing time together. Haden was barely in practice the three days leading up to the game. Nelson is new, Kelly in for Davis, Barron and Bush are new and the starting defense barely played as a unit in preseason gm 3 and not at all in 4. To many moving pieces and not enough preparation to get them all on the same page. Hilton was talking about communication issues yeah well duh. The scrap heap safety they used learned in camp to be the third safety not the starter. He had no clue in coverage. If fast guy is running by you then maybe run with him and put your body between him and the ball.

Side question not directed at Glenn specifically but does anyone know if you can blow up the guy running the pick on those famous Pats pick plays? Like tag him so hard he falls into the guy he is setting the pick for?

No way skipper would've lasted long on waivers... if not the giants, then the raiders, cardinals, lions or someone else that's bereft of pass rushers (minus the openly tanking dolphins)......
Our own stupidity for letting him go in favor of the chick- fil-a's ... er ..chickillos of the world

I would agree with everything you said however Ben looked like crap and he has had time to get better and improve in preseason. Once again he looked like he was sleeping as he does pretty much every year at the start of the season. For once it would be awesome to see them come out fighting and look like they actually give a damn. NE knows how to do it with basically journeyman

Yeah I would really like a head coach for this team, one that could bend this team to his vision but instead we have Obi wan Kenobi. I can't wait to hear Ben and Tomlin's reasoning behind the personnel packages they went with because they just sucked.

Penalty against the defense is my guess. Illegal contact probably, even if within 5 yards of LOS. Just a guess.

That's kind of strange because you can tag a rb on a play fake or the wr on a fake reverse. I just want to blow up those picks so bad.

I think that when new roster players in preseason make some plays, they need to be playing Week 1 if the Starters aren't ready yet.
    Does that even make sense?
When the Starters run out of gas, oh wait.
That's called keep guys that are fighting for their lives.

I'd say blow them up and take the penalties early. Screw it! They'll stop doing it or think twice when they do.

I'm just guessing. I watched a breakdown of pick plays last season (I think) by a Saints fan after the Pats used picks to beat the Saints. He admitted that the Saints also used picks often.

Makes no sense for them to cut him and for Holton! They were worried about him getting claimed off waivers, so they put him on the 53. Why not cut a guy that's not been claimed before? There's guys on the roster that didn't dress that they could have safely cut. You don't cut a guy who's shown food pass rushing skills after you already said he was worthy of a spot.

This was a ridiculous transaction that will backfire on us big-time.

There was no reason to drop him from the roster .

The Steelers get a big F for this one.
