.....if Landry can lead this team.....

Looks like its his team for a few weeks. Lets see if he was worth the fourth round pick.

He needs to put some more zip on those out routes or he's gonna need to polish up on his tackling.

I think we already found out against KC that it's going to be tough.

I agree his passes were looking like they were going in slow motion in comparisons to Bens. Hope he gets coached up on that for next week.

None the less.. the right thing to do now is to rally behind him. He is the type that needs confidence boosting.

Ive yet to see the drive that put them in position for the win today, but I did read he hit a 59 yarder to AB. I think he has shown enough that he is capable of leading this team.

Its always going to be a struggle without your starter though.

The pass to AB was about 7 yards and the rest was AB yac. That's okay because I think thats how we have to play with Landry, short, quick passes and let the the receivers do the rest.

He just needs to be the point guard and get the ball in the hands of our scorers.

Still going to have to go deep on occasion to keep the defense honest. The deep ball he threw today to Bryant wasn't good, but I have seen worse. Ben sometimes underthrows his deep balls too. The Browns game is probably going to be a nail biter - but wouldn't it be cool if Landry outplayed Johnny Football.

I don't think there is really an option. They could start Vick who can't throw a 7 yard slant, frustrates AB, doesn't see Miller but on certain occasions can throw a 55 yarder downfield or they can start Jones who is a pocket guy, will throw a 7 yard slant to Brown or Bryant and let them do the work. It is going to have to be a specific game plan now to get Williams the ball and get Jones comfotable and absolutely no cute stuff. run, play action, run, slant, run, slant, PA deep, run, run, run, screen pass, HEATH!!!! and repeat

He was a 4th round pick...

Hopefully Tuitt's 100%. If so, I imagine he'll be picking his teeth with Manziel's ribs by halftime.

Jones is the starter, I think thats clear. Given how bad Vick was, Tomlin couldn't possibly put him back in.......RIGHT?? I'll hold off for an official report, but right now they're saying a few weeks. With the Clowns next week, which is winnable with Landry and then a bye we'll have to see what happens. Week 12 @Seattle is the scary game if Ben isn't back.

Yep. The receivers just need a step from the defender in open field and they can do the rest (case in point: the Bryant TD). If that's what they're good at, let them do it.

Landry didn't play that badly against KC. I thought that the play calling was disjointed and hampered our offensive effort in that game. We need to mix things up better and not try to outfox the Browns with cutesy play calling. If we can come up with the same defensive effort that we got vs the Bengals, we've got a great chance of getting to the bye at 6-4.

I think it's been shown that Landry can get the job done.

I'm starting to think we should just bring him in the 2nd half of the 4th quarter in games.
He seems to do a great job at throwing the 6 yard pass and letting the WR turn it into a 60 yard gain.

Hey there is a certain HOF quarterback who plays somewhere outside of Boston who many have anointed as the GOAT who has made a career of throwing 7 yard slants and then letting his receivers do all the work. Maybe we should try it more.

Why? What happened to Michael Vick? Is he in the witness protection program now?

he won't be on the road in a nearly as hostile environment as KC was. i think the kid can get us a win. maybe it would be better if haley doesn't coach him up all week and we start vick for one play , then allow LJ to come off the bench and play the rest of the game. :hehehe::cool:
