Yeah but the guy that made that mistake is highly thought of by Bill apparently and is considered a leader there. Bill does show favoritism. If you watch the moment where he did it the guys holds his hands up and looks completely dumbfounded that the ref didn't give them the ball. I've not watched Bill's presser about it though. But on the field the guy was adamant that he didn't mean he wanted to kick it and the ref just ignored him and told the Jets they were getting the ball and even they looked shocked.

Maybe, I'll have to watch a clip of that. I could also see Bill thinking theyd stop them and just need a FG for the win given how much harder it is for them to score TD's now without so many weapons and the Jets defense being good.

I could see it too, but I don't think that's what happened in this case. The player did look confused and did seem to argue with the ref.

7 of the last 8 games between the Jets and Pats have been decided by 7 points (with 6 games a FG or less). 2 of those games have gone into OT and the Jets have won 2 of them. The Jets generally play the Pats close.

    In other news.
The Steelers are being investigated for allegedly losing on purpose against the Ravens. Looks like the Patriots may have been in on it too along with the Bengals. They're saying this could go much deeper and likely will result in the end of the NFL.

Sources (Harrison and Manning's HGH supplier)
Are saying they did it in an attempt to miss the playoffs. Seems they are worried that extra games may put Boykin over 40% of the snaps for the season resulting in the loss of a fourth rd draft pick.
