Now that Bell is signed, can the Steelers trade him? What could the Steelers realistically get for him, if they traded him to one of the cellar dwellers? I am not advocating this. I am curious what folks think the Steelers could get from a cellar dweller. Two first round picks (2018 & 2019) and a 2nd (2018) or 3rd (2018) round pick? The other team would be getting the best all-around RB. No gamble there!

No chance he's moved in 2017. We are all in.

No team is going to trade for a RB on a 1 year deal worth 12 million

Being the best doesn't mean nothing it's still a 1 year 12 million deal, and no team is going to trade for that .

You get him for 1yr, pay him big money for that yr. He has a history of injury, and been suspended twice.
There is no way you get 2 1st rounders for the guy. Especially, from a cellar dweller, Bell won't improve them enough and will leave after a yr taking your 1st round picks with him.

given his history, his salary demand, If you had to trade him, I wonder if you get much more than 2nd rounder for him right now, at those conditions.

    I agree.

On straight ability, of course you would be looking at first rounders etc.

But there's a whole lot more than straight ability to be considered by any GM...

Trading him this year would net us the lowest possible return for him. Most teams that want him could just wait a season or two and try to sign him. We'd be asking what he's worth (multiple first round picks imo) but no team would even consider moving a single first rounder for one guaranteed year of Bell. There's just no market for Bell at a price that he's worth.

The chances of us trading Bell are the same chances of us trading Ben Roethlisberger at this point. Ain't happening.

Hell no. Keep Bell. Bell is overrated, IMO, but Steelers need all the help they can get on offense.
