I’m glad we didn’t package Daniels in a trade for Aiyuk. Could’ve been really bad

I read where they are going to let McCormick and Anderson fight it out in practice to replace Seamalu. This is where I get frustrated with our philosophy. Just pick a guy and have them build some unity and cohesion in practice. I think this is where we do a major disservice to these guys in development and setting our offensive line up for success.

A lot of people are pushing for McCormick to get the starting guard position. I have seen his signs in yards all over Western Pennsylvania.

I haven't heard if Decastro has official retired from football so we could knock on his door see if he is over getting released

Steelers O line never recovered from losing Munchak, Pouncey, DeCastro and Villanueva.

I would be fine with that. Daniels is a good player and still young. Depends on the cost, but he should definitely be considered.

As for Seumalo, it appears having him back and ready for week 4 is the best case scenario. Maybe weeks 5-6 at worst. Im sure that 3-5 weeks isn't an insurmountable setback, and one that could eventually lead to us knowing a lot about either Anderson or McCormick based on their play. There's no indication that Fautanu will be ready for week 1 or not so a Moore - McCormick/Anderson - Frazier - Daniels - Jones OL seems the most likely for the first month or so. I am hoping that as soon as Fautanu is ready to play that Jones moves to LT and Fautanu mans the RT side. It would be a young line, but one with immense talent. Excited to see how they grow as a unit.

Imagine, we could have Pickens and Aiyuk constantly looking back and seeing their QB on the ground.
