I like the comment saying he said he was sorry to AB and they still threw the flag. That's funny right there!

Amazing that back in the 70's that would have been considered a normal hit.

I don't want to screw around with uploading a video. Just go watch a YouTube video of Justin Timberlake's "cry me a river"

    Dun dun dun dun dun.
    Dun dun dun.
    Dun dun dun.
    Dun dun dun. DUN!

Gonna be stuck in my head for a while now, so there's that...

    Delusional is correct!

After the 2nd regular season game, a Bungles fan was so upset with his perceived "Steelers are all thugs" view. His proof? 1) The early hit on Eifert that concussed him and, 2) Dalton breaking his finger.

I had missed the hit on Eifert, but I wondered just how delusional this dude must be to use the Dalton play as evidence!

    No argument here.

Just to clarify, I'm not trying to get on a soapbox about what a legal hit should be, just speaking to the occasional confusion of what one is under current league rules - not to mention how they expect players to adjust to the different corollaries contained therein, all dependent upon the ball carriers approximate state of defense and ball control within a split second of time. I'm all for making it as safe a game as it can be for the players' sake, but part of me sees some of these overly elaborate definitions and specifications simply a corporate arse cover against the possibility of litigation and $$. Which is depressing, because that isn't what this should be about.

Burfict set his Twitter to private. I can only imagine the comments on there.

All of Steeler Nation hates his guts. Goes beyond Ray Lewis hate even.

Honestly, Burfict is going to think about how many people hate his guts every time he goes in a bar or wherever.

I'm sure at least he will get some extra tickets, have his food spit in or something haha.

I can't wait till the POS gets arrested and the sitting judge is a Steelers fan who adores Big Ben. Hahaha.

    Karmas a ************.

I just spent about fifteen minutes on their board. Wow, they really are delusional. I can't believe anyone could watch that game and think the refs were biased against the bengals. If anything it was the other way around. There are people actually saying that the hit on AB was legal and that AB ran his head into Burfict's shoulder. They are bonafide cuckoo over there.

Yeah the fact that Burfict was the main antagonist like every other game he has ever played, but received none of the sportsmanlike penalties until the second to last play speaks volumes.

The refs messed up by not clamping down on the Bengals earlier. They did not send a message to Burfict's tiny, reptillian brain.

It should have happened after Burfict flipped out because Decastro pancakes him like he was a JV player.

You need to look at that Glen Edwards hit again in slo mo. He led the tackle with his hands. Two hands into the ball just after the reception, knocking it into the air for the Blount INT. Edwards' never touched the receivers helmet at all and certainly didn't lean into the tackle - in fact he pulled away after the hit. Look at the receiver's reaction when sitting on his ass with the ball in the air (at regular speed - you can't see it in slo mo). Not even dazed - certainly not concussed. That was a clean, smart & legal hit then and would be a clean, smart and legal hit today. It's the difference between an athlete making a great play and a thug out for blood.

Great points. Thanks. It would probably still get flagged though.
