I would say right now Kevin Dotson is better than any guard currently on the roster.

Did you see the 2nd contract Chuks got? You can't tell me if Dotson was currently here, and playing like he is now, the Steelers would not be falling all over themselves to give in a 2nd contract.

Going to be curious to see what they do with the current 2 Guard starters. If they cut Daniels they save 8.2 million against the cap, and if they cut Seumal, they will eat $4 million in Deadcap in 2024, but save $16 million over the next 2 year($8 million per year). I'll give some props to Khan for writing Seumal's contract so the Steelers could get out of it after only one year and not break the bank.

Seumalo has been our best OL this year. With all the holes this team has, I don't think they can afford to cut him. They need him.

 

The problem,with the exception of 2019,Colbert has never traded up or down in his last 16 years in the first round....It was a killer sometimes as in the 2016 draft

 

That includes Watt, Highsmith, Warren, Cam Sutton, Jones, DeCastro, Muth, Benton, Herbig, Heyward and Hargrave right? I just think people need to be fair about the criticism and realize he probably isn’t going anywhere.

 

You’re wasting your breath, most people don’t see the strategic side of managing a team and its cap.

 

Problem was not the trade but more of the fact that Dotson was below average with us but great with the rams....It mean our coaching,in this case the offensive line coach is very poor

 

Oh well, I'm sure Najee was probably the highest ranked player on their board at that point.

 

I don't think they will cut either of their guards, they need to find a center and RT and a new OL coach, you don't want that much turnover on your OL in one offseason.
