I thought Tomlin would do something? Maybe fire Canada. Canada is a bum. You watch nothing will change. BUCS and Brady will come in and smack us around. Will be 1 and 5. We're right with the lions in the basement.

I'm not surprised nothing is happening. You won't see anything happen till end of the season.

Your not going to bring somebody outside in, 6 weeks into the season.

The only other option is to switch Canada with maybe Mike Sullivan.

But only time Mike Sullivan served as a offensive coordinator was like in 2012 for the Bucs and they finished 32nd in the NFL that year in total offense.

So I'm not so sure Mike Sullivan is his Lord and Savior that you all wish to have.

Canada is a bad hire. His crap may work in college but it doesn't work here, and his body of work in college was Mediocre at best.

Steelers need to open up the check book and spend some money on some real coordinators in here. Haven't had a good set since Bruce Arians was run out of town because Tim Tebow beat us in the playoffs and we had Dick Lebeau on defense.

But in the end game it worked out well for Bruce Arains I'd say.

Fire him and then what? There are few if any people available to come in at this point..and you can't put in a totally new O mid-season. Demote or take away some responsibility is a more likely outcome. Give the playcalling to someone else.

Another well thought out rant. Firing Canada will fix the defense!

Barring another 3 point game, I'd say Canada has until the bye week to turn things around on offense.

Its not like there are a bunch of highly qualified OCs sitting at home waiting for the phone to ring.

“I don’t intend to change for the sake of changing – to shoot a hostage, if you will,” Tomlin said Tuesday at his weekly press conference. “Or anything of that nature. If change produces better outcomes or seemingly produces better outcomes or will put us in position to produce better outcomes, I’m open to it.”

Shoot a hostage? You can shoot randomly into a coaches meeting and probably hit one who needs to be replaced and it would produce a better outcome.

The Ravens fired their OC mid-season a few years back...and went on to win the Super Bowl that year.

Is that the anomaly or the norm?

I didn't claim it was the norm. It was offered as a counterpoint to the "Well we can't change anything because it wouldn't work" defense. It might NOT work, but it has in the past, so it is certainly possible.

Is what we are watching an anomaly or the norm? I would say the norm.

A counterpoint? It worked once in 50 years so it’s worth a shot? Our offense(as in plays) won’t change. They’re not going to bring someone in from the outside and ask them to learn an offensive playbook in 4 days. In addition to that this new mystery OC needs to learn the strengths and weaknesses of the players. They aren’t installing a new offense in the middle of the season. So that basically leaves us with the qb’s coach calling the plays. Something he hasn’t done in two decades and wasn’t particularly successful at back then. In addition to all of that how does firing Canada fix the defense and all of the injuries they’ve sustained?

Agreed and Green bay nuked a legit HC mid season pulled in that QB coach went on to look great for the seasons to come where they're being #1 in the division and I think twice in the nfccg.

So in one sentence you say you thought Tomlin would do something. Then a few sentences later you say “ watch nothing will be done”

    let’s try another one

What will he do without a hof franchise qb!

The problem that I have, is not, that we are losing. The problem that I do have, is that, our head coach doesn't have a clue ... in how to fix it and get us winning again.

I am talking about the dysfunction of the offense. How many years does it take before becoming the norm?
