Not so funny anymore.

this one was actually pretty darn funny.

i saw one earlier in the season (before the Steelers won a game) that said "I bought a Steelers candle but everyone keeps blowing it out". i thought that one was hilarious even though i was upset about how the Steelers were doing. i didn't think they'd win a game at the time but i couldn't help but smile.

 

I give it back just as hard.

Serving up Chicago Style Cowboy Steaks this week. Redskin fans have shut up again.

 

I work with Eagle fans, Cowboy fans, Packer fans, and Bills fans whos last playoff game was the M.C.M. game 13 years ago. Remind him of that a lot. We all bust each others butt after the weeks games depending on what our teams did over the weekend. Its all in fun.

And yes I do play the 6 ring card when I can. Example....

Thanksgiving day son in law (Eagles fan) was over. Started busting my butt about how bad STEELERS were this year.

S.I.L....Looks like Eagles will end up with a better record than STEELERS this year.
Me....You might be right its another down year for us but we do have 6 rings.

Funny, Charger fan(s) say they don't count rings either. I tell them that a championship in a defunct league doesn't count either!

 

Remember a few years ago when this moron on here said that he would actually disown family members over making fun of the Steelers?! I just now remembered that but I can't remember who it is. I don't think they're still around though.

 

Virginia is Redskins country (and to an extent Cowboys) so no one badgers me considering their teams. There are a few Ravens fans at work but they're actually pretty cool about it. I have never met a Cleveland or Cinci fan here.

 

Nah, man, it doesn't bother me. It's life. Peaks and valleys. I agree with the previous sentiment that it's because the Steelers are usually really good. Often, the Steelers are ruining chances for other teams. So, now that we're having a short downturn, other fans are elated to rub it in. I just take it in stride, concede the jokes, and remind them that it is indeed difficult for us Steelers fans to have a losing season because missing the playoffs is abnormal for us. I find that joking back, in this manner, usually causes most fans to chill out a bit and not lay it on so thick. Maybe it's because that statement is the truth. And maybe it's because they can see it doesn't bother me.

I don't think they were those exact words, but something to that effect. I also said I had never done that myself. Just suggested it to somebody.

 

Smack talk about the Steelers doesn't bother me, I just ask them got 6 (Superbowls) because we do.

 

Sucker punch the next guy who insults our team. That'll stop them BUT, it is the Team's fault. They are the ones sucking this year. Oh and Tomlinism's for every loss give folks something to pick at us about
