James Harrison didn't get to play much that 1st game.

In the playoff game. Harrison played until it was a blow out.
Also Ryan Shazier and Bud Dupree played.

Thus the dolphins ran for about 30 some yards.

Here's the opening kickoff from the Miami playoff game.
Why does this guy run this out?

    IIRC
i believe it was commented on by the announcers

There was confusion on where he received it and it carried him into the endzone ????
Maybe he he figured it was better safe than sorry.
I guess it would have been better to just let it go
hadn't really seen it again since sunday.

He's not turned around per se. He's actually being victimized on film study.

They run that play a lot and he's studied that and looks to be jumping that route after a receiver fake to the outside and cut back inside.

The problem is he's caught because the offensive coordinator knows his tendency to want to jump that and calls a great play for the receiver to actually but it outside.

Film study can hurt you sometimes. Troy used to get burned like that as well.

This was Eli Rogers' 19 yard gain, the play right before Antonio Brown's first TD in the first quarter. IMG_0376.JPG IMG_0377.JPG IMG_0379.JPG IMG_0381.JPG
pic 1. the WRs start their routes
pic 2. Eli Roger wide open with a blocker in front. a WR's dream.
pic 3. making good yardage already. maybe only one guy to beat for a TD
pic 4. I wish he had gone straight but instead he tries to cut behind the defender and gets stopped.
maybe it's a nice play design by Haley. maybe we just plain had better players. But this seemed typical of the success we had all day.
    good play design+better players=a rout

The Miami secondary made some bad plays that helped us that day. Here is Antonio Brown's first series TD.
pic 1. AB will get the ball in the open. looks like a good gain already.
pic 2. Dolphin #36 CB Tony Lippett takes a bad angle. He moves inside to make the tackle instead of staying outside the ball carrier.
pic 3. That allows Jesse James to get between the defenders and AB IMG_0385.JPG IMG_0389.JPG IMG_0391.JPG . AB with great vision cuts to the outside. And he's gone.
