    Would have liked him, but at $11 mil a year he was well out of our price range. Although it sounds like they made a competitive offer. Maybe it was the Jets who offered $10.5 mil.

    I'd bet that the Jets offered more than the Pats, but Hightower wasn't inclined to jump into a dumpster fire for the differential (plus the cost of living in NY is drastically higher than the Foxboro area).

    What a huge sign of Relief.... i would've hated that contract when we were looking at 2018 and had to sign Leveon Bell, Ryan Shazier, Stephon Tuitt, and Martavis Bryant... and we were staring at a 12 million cap hit for ****ing Donta Hightower

    Huge relief we didn't sign this guy to that contract. phew

    Fowler put out a statement saying the Steelers weren't confortable paying him nearly 11 mil, will look to upgrade else where. Man I like hearing that, I know Zach Browns name has been thrown around here but what am I missing with Te'o? He is young and talented, we get 2 for the price of one(ok I know I shouldn't went there) and if feels like he isn't in high demand just what the Steelers like......

    I personally think he is overrated and average. I haven't watched in the pros but he got handled in that championship game. I guess for depth he would be fine. I just don't see him as a starter

    I haven't looked him up much but I know every time I watched the Super Chargers he looked good. I was one that didn't like him coming out but he has looked good in the pros from what I have watched.

    I like the Big Red too. But, his downside to me, watching him seems to be his lateral and coverage speed. He has the smart and he works his butt off, which can do noting but help him. Going to be a great special teams player, no doubt.

    That was and has been the knock on him but man for a slow guy he sure the help made a ton of tackles side to side. I am hoping as well he get a chance I like the kid a ton and yes your right he is a hard worker. :thumbs_up:

    So the Steelers and the Jets offered Hightower more money but he still signs with the cheatriots. Yep he was wasting their time and using them to try and make the cheats pay more. What a loser.
