Amazing that we're still in the conversation, isn't it? We could win out IF:
We are able to overcome the injuries on our offensive line.
We are able to fix our secondary issues and the fact that they like to give up a couple 50+ yard plays about once a game.
AND (this is a big one)
We stop spotting the other team double digit leads after the first quarter!

Baltimore. Hate to say it but the way the Steelers season has gone and for the reasons cited above, I don't see the Steelers winning out. I see us going 2-2 with losses to the Packers and Bengals. That's my expectation, unfortunately. Tired of getting my hopes dashed by this inconsistent and unpredictable 2013 version of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

all of them has tough schedule with probably two losses each , if we can survive the velasco injury we are in the mix ,right now i would say baltimore has a little advantage

I've stuck in there this long, not going to quit now but was on the verge after Sunday, not so much the loss but because of the injuries, big blow, asking a real lot to win 4 in a row now. Before the injuries, I'd say definitely, now I'm real worried.

My pick is of course the Steelers :towel:

I hope and think you're wrong. The steelers picked up a couple Of O-linemen from the trash bin. They'll do fine when Ben starts playing sandlot football. Good teams overcome these type of things and I believe we're a good team.

I don't think the Steelers will make the playoffs. They have been too inconsistent and they need too much help if they don't win out.

Im sorry, but I think this is just going to be too much for them to overcome. At some point its just too much to ask. When you back ups are injured and you're down to 3rd stringer/scrap heap guys...well there's a reason they are 3rd stringer/scrap heap guys.

Baltimore?? I guess you all think a 7-9 record will cut it. They'll lose in Detroit, Cincinnati and patriots without a doubt very bad picks.

I'll go with the Steelers. They don't need to win out, they just need to win their three remaining home games. Will it happen? I dunno. Could it happen? Why not? Stranger things have happened.

They got some help today, and it's very likely the Ravens will lose to the Lions in Detroit and the Patriots.

Jets are done, they need a QB
Titans and Chargers have a tough road
Baltimore ends with three tough games.
Steelers can keep pace by beating Miami next week. They may be tied with Baltimore going into week 15.

My pick is a toss up between Steelers and Ravens.

For all the people on here who think Baltimore is so great, than so be it, give the sixth seed to Cincy

we would be tied but at that current position not have the tie breaker based on current division record...which we would overcome by beating the bengals and the browns...

here is how i see the season playing out...well hope

That's why I love these MB discussions with my knowledgable Steelers brethren. I feel a little better about our chances but still think we've been too inconsistent to make it in the end. But I'll keep hoping and reading the posts of my more optimistic MB friends.

I typically tend to lean toward the negative as much as I hate to admit that about myself. HOWEVER........I believe not only will this team get the 6th seed, but they will beat either Indy OR Cincy in rd 1. Then get rolled by Denver or NE of course.

with these choices, I could see TN getting in. I think we go 8-8.

this is the scenario i see us getting in... dont know if it happens but i could see this

Steelers 3-1 winning all the remaining AFC games...
    Balt 2-2
    Tenn 2-2
    Sd 3-1
miami 2-2 obviously one of them being us...

If any of these teams finish better than these records we have to be 4-0...

We needed Indy to beat Tennessee, and they got it done. Every time I think we're out of it, I look at what the other teams have to do to stay ahead of us and I still see a legit chance. If I have to pick one in a totally unbiased manner, I'm going to say Baltimore, but it's really a toss up between us and them.
