With Artie signing with the Bears, there is no one left from that draft.

That’s a bad draft. Hargrave was a hit but unfortunately couldn’t keep him.

    Burns
    Davis
    Hargrave
    Hawkins
    Feeney
    Ayers
    Matakevich

Very bad class. Mike Hilton was UDFA that year and still on the roster. Burns was a killer, should have picked Xavien Howard instead

in fairness to Colbert the following draft In 2017 was excellent

    Watt
    Juju
    Sutton
    Conner
    Dobbs
    Allen
    Holba
    Adams

Well...., technically both Hargrave and Matakevich were solid hits whom we could not keep. As such, this draft class, while still bad, is not horrible. For that matter, I can name one worse than this one.

Circa 2008. That is truly the benchmark of a horrible draft by Colbert's standards.

When you miss on the first 2 picks, thats pretty bad, Burns was a terrible reach. I don’t put it on par with 2008 but I really only count Hargrave as a hit. Red was a ST player, offered little else. Good for a 7th rd pick but nothing to alter my mind about this draft.

I would not put it on par with 2008 either. 2008 was the worst of the Colbert era in my opinion. This class though is a close second.

For what it is worth, having Sean Davis play musical chairs throughout his first three years did not help his development in any way.

Only five total players left from 2012-2013- 2014-2015-2016 and one of those is dan mccullers and one is vince, both non starters. Top 5 gm. Hmmm.

Cannot even claim Hilton as original, signed with J'ville first, then the Pat's. Finally to out PS in Dec of that year.

I think Davis may actually develop yet in the right system. At least be a durable player.

Yes, another one of the great Colberts draft classes. Even if we would've been able to hold onto gravedigger ... that draft was a bust.

The worst part is Brandon hunt supposedly being the next in line for the job. 10 years he has been head of scouting for us. I was asked if I trusted him. I said no. Look at my post above, these drafts should have filled our team with players and it hasnt. So again no I don't think he is the answer when kc leaves. Even the fa signings. Moncrief half a season and done, green never played and done, Vannett one and done, Barron one and done, bostic one and done. Sure we have hit on a couple Nelson and haden but not too good until we used this year's draft pick to add minka. It took 4 top draft picks to add two players. Just not much trust in the ability of this front office. Now to mortgage the future for one last season to get it right. Scary.

The mortgaging has been happening before this season. All the chips are in the way I see it. It's going to get real ugly after this season. But it will be hard to dump several contracts due to restructures and dead cap money. After next season when Ben bows out.

Fell for that last year, but I may be interested in some 50 yard line seats at 3 rivers if you have any.

Lol, was watching PFT the last day and Chris Simms was saying what an excellent signing Davis was for the Redskins and what a bargain at $5m. I was wondering if he had him mixed up with somebody else.

2008 was bad, but at least Mendenhall got us to a Super Bowl. Unlike the rapper extraordinaire on the Jets.

Mendenhall sure did. He got us to the big game! He also cost us the big game in a big way.

I have to put the onus on the TE, Johnson was it? Completely missed his assignment and then was clueless to where the ball was. I’m no fan of Mendy though so go ahead and roast him :lolol:
