You are Free Tibet from the old board, just as I suspected.

Why would anyone "love" a professional sports team? Are you related to it? Do you get a check in the mail every time they win? Love your family not the steelers or any other pro team. Its a business making some people lots of money.
Anyway, for the "fans" on this board that are not " in love with the steelers", you do realize that we will see no Super Bowls in the near future don't you? The party is over. Blame anyone you want, it doesn't matter. At least we got two SB wins in the Big Ben era. I remember the drought of the 1980's and most of the 90's. Our defense was once the best, now its one of the worst. Sad.

Some fans haven't realize that they get very little gratification when the team succeeds. Not sure why people get to high with the highs and too low with the lows.

It's possible that the Steelers might not make the SB in the near future. I still believe that they have enough talent to remain a competitive team. Steelers fans have been spoiled. To maintain the defensive consistency that this team's had since the mid 90's is probably unheard of. The days of consistently dominating defenses may be coming to an end with most of the rules favoring offenses.

cause i pay alot of money for those seats. i paid alot of money for the seating license to own those seats. i pay alot of money for a parking pass. so, i kinda own them since 1970 in a way and have been a fan since 1960.

no i don't think they are out of it by any stretch of the imagination, when NE,DEN,SD,jets and alot of other teams are with us or within a game of us in the standings. that's some pretty good company. are they as bad off as you think we are? didn't we really know that with such a young secondary and LB group that we would have some growing pains early? troy hasen't been on the field with clark yet this year. harrison hasen't been on the field yet with woodley. sylvester hasen't been on the field yet with timmons. spence hasen't been on the field yet with timmons. decastro hasen't been on the field with the o-line yet. saunders hasen't been on the field yet with heath. mendy hasen't been on the field yet with will johnson. van dyke hasen't been on the field with any of the defense. brandon johnson has been bounced around from spot to spot while trying to learn this defense. we haven't seen MOO taking up space in the middle yet. we still have alot to incorporate into this defense. i don't believe that these players won't give this defense a shot in the arm and some field leadership. they have to get healthy first. it ain't over til it's over. go steelers :stogie:

I can't take it any longer. I've tried to stay out because I have a habit of saying things I shouldn't. I'll try to keep this nice and in the guidelines.

    GO AWAY TROLLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For anyone claiming to be a Steeler fan but now claiming fandom for the ratbirds...... was always a Troll and needs to be blocked by TTF!!!!!!

If you no longer want to support the Steelers because of their recent play.... you were always a fairweather fan and I respect every cowboy fan ( they missed a decade of playoff wins ) more than you.... actually I have zero respect for fairweather fans, you're jokes.

If you need to take a break from watching for a while due to health reasons... I get that, at times I feel like I may blow a gasket too but I still watch because it can't always be great...
Every wave has a trough...... every bull market has a bear market... every aircraft takeoff has a landing/some worst than others.

I've been a fan since before our very 1st superbowl ring.... I've suffered thru malone/kordell years.. I rememeber when the Great Noll ruled and when it seemed the game passed him by BUT he was still Noll and could we really replace him.

Thru all this my Allegiance has NEVER Faultered........... C' Ya!!!!

You youngsters need to learn how to watch the steelers play, never watch a game with high expectations that way you wont get disappointed, back in the 50s no one had high expectations and from 1980 untill 2005 was quite a long 25 year dry spell for me, so take it from someone who knows, dont let your expectations exceed reallity, try it, you'll enjoy the games better that way, plus it's healthier...
