    Seriously.

All though Hunter didn't necessarily wow anyone. It was a good signing per the standard of The Steelers signing players with potential upside or, in DeAngelo's rare case, much older but with upside when supported by our O Line. I don't see any more of the latter like situations available except perhaps Revis at the S position if you want that baggage. I don't see much of the former either.

Lets not see us waste money just to entertain ourselves til draft time. With a draft class deep with DB talent, we didn't need other teams trash. Just draft smart. Artie and Sean playing solid this early made me not worried about the down the road growth.

I know Ben doesn't have much time but theres no reason we can't have a situation like Dallas where a rookie comes in to a powerhouse team and makes a run. Ben did it. We shouldn't fear the build-thru-draft philosophy.

I feel a solid draft coming up. I am so excited.

Wait - aren't you one of the pointer Sisters? :dancing::dancing::dancing:

And yes it would be awesome to draft the next Dak in the late rounds.

    Lol.

And maybe not that lucky. Dak was indeed a surprise.

I just wouldn't like us to make a big splash, not win the big game anyway, and then make the situation for the next qb worse than it could have been by not locking up key people and opting to grab old vets to try to make a quick run. Then ushering in browns-like era of pain and anguish.

4 Touchdowns in 10 receptions is impressive out of Justin Hunter. That was last year with the Bills.

I think Hunter will have some upside. Gives us a little more insurance of a larger WR in case Bryant gets in trouble again.

I think Hunter will be great mostly because he will get to work with a top tear QB for once. He looks good on tape, but if you notice when an avg QB throws him the ball the don't throw a rainbow like Ben will to him. If we get a healthy bryant back, we should have some depth at that position. AB, Bryant, Hunter, Coates, Rogers, Hamilton and Ayres would not be a bad mix if we run into some injuries.

Free agency frenzy is neither free nor a frenzy. Discuss.

Why would there be a frenzy for the fans? The Steelers didn't participate in it

I loved him coming out of Tennessee. Thought he was a better prospect than Patterson. Turns out they are both bad.

Let's see how great Dak is when that line erodes from free agency. They will buy time with his rookie contact that gives them cap flexibility bit when he gets his payday the money for other weapons will dry up and then we'll see how good he really is.

If he's half as good as Cam Newton was the year after his MVP SB season......................he'll be absolutely atrocious.

Could be a good low-cost depth signing for the DL.

Dallas wanted paxton lynch bad after spending their 1st round pick for elliott they tried to trade up with seattle to get lynch offering their 2 and 4 pick, but got out bid by denver who offered their 1 and 3 pick to move up, then they tried to trade up in the 4th round to get connor cook but the raiders made a better offer to the browns to get him, dallas tried everything in the world to keep from drafting prescott After attempts to draft Lynch and then Cook failed, then after romo and his backup kellen moore both got injured they tried to trade for Foles and then McCown but failed, then the Cowboys were forced to give first-team reps to rookie fourth-round pick Prescott, this turned out to be a real drama on how they ended up with a QB they really didnt want...

Would be another notch in the "needs" belt. We filled the WR role, we get him to fill the DL role, we sign one of the aging RBs who no one seems to want (Jamaal Charles, anyone?), and all of a sudden our list absolute needs in the draft gets smaller and smaller.

When the absolute needs get filled, then we can stick with BPA, and that always works best for us.

Like I said, we take care of filling the holes with capable but not outrageously priced players, and once the draft starts its BPA. Now WR and RB are filled, positions we don't need a #1 for, so they can be taken off the draft list. Gives them the ability to grab a falling player, not reach for one to fill a need.
