We have heard this several times before. I think there are times when it would be a tremendous asset, but using it full time would put our defense on the field way too much.

Sometimes ball control offense is needed. We can't afford to get in a shootout with teams like New England, New Orleans, Seattle and Green Bay. We'll lose those shootouts more often than not.

Ball control is how we beat the Patriots in 2011. With Arians at OC and Mendenhall at RB.

I’m sure captain clickbait will find something to whine about soon enough.

You can do ball control with no huddle. Point to ball control is to keep moving the sticks. Doesn’t matter how you get there.

I can see Fichtner being more open to it than Arians and Haley. I bet you see a lot more of it. Definitely start the games out in it, get up by a couple scores and the defense can attack.

No, no, er, thats not it, no, um, I don't know what you mean :whistley:

I've been away for a while and I come back and see some kid farting all over TTF's beautiful house. No worries, I'm back. I'll fumigate and get you guys pumped up for the season :steelflag:

Yes most of the time when in the no huddle, Ben takes the clock down to 5 seconds or so anyway. It's no like they are running the "hurry up" offense. The no huddle just minimizes the defenses ability to sub in guys because the offense is at the line and can hike at any time.

I don`t mind no huddle if you use up most all of the play clock like P. Manning did. Get up to the line early and look over the defense a long time, change plays, no hurry to beat the clock before you snap when you do it that way.

You can run ball control out of the no huddle. They pretty much do unless it's under 2 minutes. Ben repeatedly runs the play clock down.

Three sure signs that it's preseason, stuff you hear every year:

    - Veteran player X is in the best shape of his career (this yr Ben, last yr Harrison, Bettis yrs ago)
    - Dissapointing recent high draft pick Y is having a great camp (this yr Bud, Jarvis Jones in the past)
    - We're really, really, really gonna run a lot more no huddle thus year.

Why not? At this point, Ben can catch unfavorable matchups, catch defenses on their heels, and hit some big plays. They should trust him.

Not too many QBs have a knowledge of the game to be able to do that.

Think we're going to light it up on offense this year.

Yup. Fitch is clearly on board, his answer wasn't coach speak like Haley and BA would give when asked. The discussions he's having with Ben is what do you want to hear when we're running it. Maybe with that kind of communication they won't have the kind of foul ups like they did at the end of the NE game.

    Should be fun to watch.
