No Hot Routes

If his offense does not have hot routes at all, then I'm done writing anything that could even be perceived as defending the decision to keep him. I don't think that is the case. I think they chose to simplify things to the point of not using hot routes. That is stupid, too, but at least there is potential for growth. I just wonder how much of this simplification came from Canada and how much was ordered by Tomlin.

If you read what was said it is pretty clear that Canada DOES have hot routes since Muth confirmed it when Roethlisberger was QB (and Canada was the OC). This is just a case of the OC trying to simplify the offense, avoid mistakes, and win football games...

Right but not this season. Obviously he wasn’t going to have the freedom Ben did but to not have any seems like a bad idea. It’s not that hard to incorporate it.

I would think a hot route would actually be beneficial to a young quarterback and Kenny is heady enough to know when they’re the appropriate call. Makes no sense.

Do you even need hot routes when most of your pass plays are less than 10 yards?
