No help from the refs this week

We get the crew that overturned that jets td vs the patriots earlier in the year. Which also happens to be the crew with the most flags thrown on the season.

You mean they'll be worse than last week? And the week before, and the week before that..............?

 

I’m not one of the paranoid ones who think the NFL wants certain teams to win. With this said, I see this as one game they won’t allow any extracurricular activities. I also see these as two teams who won’t approach it any way other than
Professional.

 

That was indeed one of those astoundingly bad calls in that Jets game, but don't the replay rulings now come from NY?

That would mean the refs on the field were correct, but were overruled

I hate crews that ruin the flow of the game by flagging everything though

 

On the one hand, it doesn't bode well: ref crew that like to throw flags, much-anticipated game with the league watching... hopefully they won't get twitchy, and hopefully we can have a few clean series to set the tone early.

On the other hand, if they decide to actually call every hold that NE commits...

 

Or even just the pick plays.

 

Never count on REFs to help you out, dont make penalties play a clean game and you wont need help, all I want is for these refs to be fair and call fouls fairly on both teams...

 

This is all you can ask for.... Just be consistent.

 

This is why we have 4 + hours to watch a game.

 

Oh great. NE plays disciplined for the most part. With a flag happy crew I think we're screwed.

DId anyone see the roughing the passer call against Brady vs the Dolphins? I laughed thinking my god if Ben got calls like that we'd get a free 15 on every drive. That was as classic a "don't touch Brady" flag as it gets. Horrible. If the refs are going to protect Brady also... good luck.

 

Yup, I saw that call and yeah, no way does Ben ever get the same treatment.

 

This year the Pats are currently the 15th most penalised team in the league. Steelers are 12th. There’s not actually that much to choose between them on that front overall.

We do however have substantially more unnecessary roughness calls against us though (13 to the pats 2) so that may not bode as well.

 

Our secondary does not get close enough to enemy receivers to commit pass interference, so advantage us.

 

NO officiating crew has thrown more flags this year. By far, the most penalties of any crew in the league. Could work out for us, or against us.

 

I’m betting it works against us

 

Nobody calls penalties on the "Lord of Darkness" and the Brady Bunch!

 

We have to beat them in a shootout, so it could support a wide open passing attack. We have a better pass rush, so could get some holding calls on them too.

 

JuJu will have to behave, no knocking Patsy's silly.

 

The mauling goes on every week with little to no calls. Now with the brady bunch coming in gonna be all Ray Charles with the zebras but they will be seeing 20-20 when they make a call against us

 

More often than not we play undisciplined football and basic stupidity hands back momentum to teams when we could be taking control of games.

Really need to play clean today and not beat ourselves

 

It was Correnti's crew that screwed the Jets earlier this year against New England. They'd better make good today.

 

We have home field advantage, so the biased NFL puts these flag throwing refs in this game. To me that is nothing to be proud of but we all know that we will be watched more than the cheatriots we will get the most penalties. Sad to say they may cost us the game . I think the NFL is so one sided that we were set up.

 

And yet, we put up with this whining:

 

Agreed. Especially with the Pats. The same team winning a championship all the time is not good for any league.
