The 49ers give the #2 pick and their second round pick #34, the Steelers give up #20 and AB.

Normally I would say a draft pick is not worth it for a talent like his but he’s an idiot and we are probably losing him anyways. No to cowboys lol.

Greedy williams. << Bosa would be gone.

But we won't be that high in the draft. Fun to think about though.

Arguably.... he wasn’t the #1 WR on our roster. JuJu had more catches and yards..... albeit with 1 extra game played.

Stats don't tell the whole story.

How many times was Brown doubled/triple covered to open up Ju Ju? Historically Brown has been getting those stats WITH getting doubled over the course of years now.

I probably should have used the green quote.... plus wasn't JuJu the team MVP? I do know AB is a stud and is arguably the best, but this year he found a supporting cast that statistically was at least an equal (and yes partly due to him drawing double coverages).

    No?

    Quick rewind:

Steelers vs Jags, 2017 Divisional Round

Don't know, we seemed pretty bad just last year. Dude rushed for >> 290 yds and 5 TDs... in 2 games! <<

But I do agree with you on the D. We've been so focused (or so it seems) on building this vaunted O that we neglected what should be equally (if not more) important. Or we just busted in drafting dominant defensive players. You choose.

This. Keep in mind, AB led the league in receiving TD's, even with double/triple coverage - that can't easily be let go without it hurting us.

Agree. We saw a glimpse of 2019 in the Bengals game.

Why not? If the Steelers got the #2 pick they could take edge rusher Josh Allen, they also would get a high second round pick in return. I doubt the 49ers would give up the #2 pick, but if they did the Steelers should jump on it.

It is going to take more than AB and pick number twenty to obtain just the number two pick alone. Adding in Pick 34 decreases the possibility of that happening. For that matter, adding in Pick 34 means Pittsburgh would have to relinquish another pick in addition to whatever they have offered for the number two pick.

Antonio Brown is a Future HOF no doubt. That being said, how many years does he have left? In addition, are the 49ers really that close to a playoff run?!

Well...The 49'ers are still the " big " rumor...If we don't get their 2nd overall pick, then eth do we get? Their 2nd round pick?

I agree with you to an extent...But I hope hope AB would bring more than a 2nd round pick

Yes. The game we struggled against a team with 21 players on IR. A team with nothing to play for except pride while our playoff life was on the line. A game where w/o AB drawing double coverage, JuJu had only 37 yds receiving and Ben’s QBR was 51.6. Sure AB is a disruptive prima donna, but the guy can still play at a very high level. He will be tough to replace

Don't forget there's a sucker born every minute, maybe the 49ers think they're a player away from making the playoffs.

AB is going to bring a first no doubt. The common issue is that some believe he is worth a top 5 pick even factoring pick 20. That is more on the principle of perception versus the reality in which we live in. It is unrealistic if anything.

If there is a possible top five suitor, New York. However, insert the same issue with San Francisco. The only reason I can ponder as to why New York might bite the bullet over San Fran is that, not only is this draft very talented and deep at offensive tackle, they are likely to have acquired the likes of Dee Ford by then. Assuming that happens, all that remains is for the Jets to acquire a wide receiver to assist young Darnold. AB would certainly fit the bill.

For me personally, I still believe that either Arizona via Peterson and pick 33 or Oakland with pick 24. Assuming Pittsburgh offers AB and pick 20, I can see Oakland potentially giving up pick 27 in addition to 24 but I am not getting my hopes up.

A bigger sucker would be Jon Gruden. Martavis Bryant is not a future HOF player. AB is without question. Question remains, will Gruden forfeit pick 24, 27 or both?

    Tough? Without a doubt.

Impossible? Tough to say in itself. Should Pittsburgh win more and make the playoffs in 2019, the AB trade will have been worth it.

Uh oh another Kentucky edge rusher at #20

Might sound a bit too familiar for some

Josh Allen is also pretty much the consensus 2nd overall pick of the draft. Probably not happening.
