Thanks for delivering the mail all those years, but what the heck man every time my Amazon package comes USPS it's late, every single time. You guys need to get on that!

 

So Mike Tomlins casa to talk of music I never heard of.

Some of you really know music I just know the more media fueled ones.

 

No I didn't work for the Post Office, I worked for the Department of Commerce. Here is a funny story about one of our employees. He was so bad at his job that he was told if they caught him working that he would be in trouble because it was more cost efficient if he did nothing than fix the stuff he screwed up. So he brought a cot and put it in the warehouse and would sleep most of the day. He watched TV, brought in his race car set and ran his cars around the track and things like that. He did that until he retired a few years later and received a nice pension after that.

 

Just out of curiosity was his a union job

 

Many years ago we pulled strings to get a friend a job at the post office because we thought it was the only place he couldn’t be fired

He made it for over 40 years to retirement and was a total screw up

 

Careful where you're going with this.....

 

With the federal government you have a choice to join the union or not but no he wasn't a member of the union. He had so many years in that it would have been impossible to fire him so he just coasted until retirement.

 

Damn, that's where the private sector is more efficient that usually get's weeded out pretty quickly, at least in the top companies. No time to suffer fools. Some day we can only hope we can return to a government that was the size pre world war 1. Someday maybe, ok back to football!!

 

I will say this....that the military jobs I fitted , and welded for.....had less , and way easier inspections than any state jobs I've ever done.

 

Welding the flush handle on to a toilet never makes sense.
