I'm well aware of Patton as I'm quite the fan of FNM but I will never get lured into a "best musician/singer" debate as it's completely subjective. There's some Bungle stuff that Patton did that I was not at all a fan of.

Tomahawk's Anonymous reminds me of a hard rock version of Dead Can Dance. It had the Native American musical motif and theme like DCD's Spiritchaser album.

Now they are more progressive rock. Oddfellows album is great.

I'm actually going by the ability, and range....6 full octaves is not a easy feat, and not something very many singers....let alone....singers in the harder stuff can implement. There are a lot of great singers....Just not a bunch with that ability. That's why some like ....let's say ACdcs either singer....it practically in the same 3 keys, and same exact octaves .....always. This is not saying people can't like who they like. I like James Hetfield, and Hank Jr's vocals, but neither have much range.

Peter Steele of Type O Negative was one of the most unique rock singers of all time. There's not a lot of singers who could even come close to his bass vocal range. The singer from Sisters of Mercy and singer from Bauhaus were deep baritone...but nowhere near Lord Peter Vader Steele.

His voice fit the bands music though.

A lot of bands were like that. David Lee Roth just had that unique vocal sound that fit what Van Halen was and when he left Sammy just blended into their slightly different sound with an awesome pure singing voice.

That was actually more of a thrash album. The version you might have heard was the re-recorded one from 2020. He had Scott Ian and Dave Lombardo play on it. Definitely a departure from FNM back then.

When Mike Tomlin had the house built and the agent asked Coach Tomlin what number he wanted for his street address he replied, "Anything 500 or better will do."

I ran into His chest one day in Little Rock. LoL. I didn't realize He was so tall. LoL. I was getting tickets to see them(for the 2nd time), and a band called Drain that night, and I went into the club(Juanitas)they were playing to pick up My tickets , and when I got them I turned around to run to My truck, and ran straight into Him. LoL. I was like Hey watch were You are.......then I was like .....Hey you're Steele, and He was like Yes. LoL. I apologized, and said I was picking up tickets too see them tonight. LoL It was during the October Rust tour...long story short....You are correct. I also seen them open for... get this... Pantera on the Bloody Kisses album.

Cool. October Rust is my favorite album, but September Sun and Christian Woman are my favorite songs of theirs. I have one of my 4-string basses tuned B-E-A-D in honor of Steele. There's a photo of him holding an upright double bass, sideways like an electric bass his held, in one their album sleeves. It's looks like a regular electric bass on him. :lolol:

Thanks for setting me straight about government employees. I only worked for the federal government for 36 years under 7 different presidential administrations.
