When Ben is in a slump its almost embarrassing to watch but when he's on fire he's unstoppable.
If he could get it into his head that there's only 2 minutes left in the game for 60 minutes there's no doubt in my mind that a 7th Lombardi is within reach.

Don't misunderstand me, in no way am I saying that Ben wasn't a top 10 QB. Hell, at one time he was top 5 (Brady, Rodgers, Brees and Manning being ahead of him). I'm only talking about today, taking into account age, performance, injuries, expected future performance, etc. That's the only way I know how to rank players. I think Luck and Goff are superior to Ben today. Luck has no team around him at all. Goff does have a team around him, a good one, but so does Ben. Goff hasn't done it for many years yet, but if you watch him play, you can tell he's special and I don't see any reason why he won't continue to improve. He hasn't peaked yet.

Roethlisberger is on his third offensive coordinator. He has had success in a run-based offense with limited receivers. He has had success in pass-happy offenses with him carrying the load. The entire offense around him as turned over more than once.

Goff has never produced without having the best running back in the league at his side, a solid offensive line and dynamic receivers. He also hasn't done it over a long period of time.

I hate to break it to you, but my version of that comparison holds up far better than yours.

If you graded him at this point last year, I doubt the numbers would be much different. I still have more faith in him than I do in Luck or Goff because he has shown a lot more than Goff and I don't trust Luck's shoulder to hold up.

Luck has been slinging it 50-60 times a game. Think he has more passing attempts than anyone in the league this year.

Luck leads the league throwing 44.4 times a game. who's #2?, Ben Roethlisberger at 43.5,
followed by Flacco 43.2, Kurt Cousins 42.8, Aaron Rogers 42.3

I know he has been throwing a lot, which is yet another reason I won't be a tiny bit surprised if he ends up injured again.
