I am not in favor of playing NFL football outside the country that invented it.

What I imagine will happen they will open up the stadiums of both teams so fans can watch on the big screen. I'm sure there will be a nominal fee to get in. Sell food, beer, etc. That should help somewhat for the people who depend on home games.

So like B.C. "Before Christ" we now have CETS not to be confused with the players that have or will have CTE.

Asia in Tokyo and the "Ice Bowl" in Antarctica, where Bart Starr QB sneaked for the game winning touchdown.

What about the time differences, especially Europe and/or Asia. It is hard enough to care about a game that starts at 9 AM Sunday morning, gonna be very devoted fans to go pay for parking, entry, and beer at that time when they can see the game on a screen at home.

I know they want to expand the brand, but the short term can actually lead to headaches. I guess they will figure it out, but how are they honestly going to put a division in Europe (let alone one team). The time zone issue, players living 1/2 a year in Europe, expenses even for a guy making rookie mins. would be horrible, let alone trying to sign FA's. The list could go one, and I'm sure they will try something, but the quality of the product is already suspect/

Actually they only do this when the home team has an extra home game because of the 17 game format so the workers don’t loose they just don’t gain

With this news I can almost guarantee the Steelers will play in Ireland in 2025

I stated they probably would otherwise but this aces it

    I’m planning to go

"Era of Taylor Swift". WTF does that even mean? I'm sure some tax-payer money was used on it. This state loves to waste our money.

There seems to be hotbed areas, especially in England and Germany. I really do not know if there could be enough continued support to have teams there, but Goodall will try just because he can, lol.

The Jags have only 7 listed home games, while they were the 'home' team in London against Atlanta, they were listed as the away team Vs Buffalo, so even in a year were they get 8 games, the local fans get screwed. Billionaires find ways to get money, local economy suffers when they paid to build the stadium. Good deal for the NFL I guess.

I just looked and posted this above, no. Looks like this was their 8 home game season, and still played one of those games in England as a home team, then one as away.

Honestly that's one place that would get my interest. Dan Patrick took his show to the Navy ND college game and seemed like a really great time. This after thinking I was a lot irish, only to find I have no irish DNA, lol

In his popular chat column, Gerry Dulac, sports reporter for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, was asked by a fan who calls himself "Yinzer Maguire" about why the NFL hasn't scheduled a Steelers game for Mexico yet.

"It's coming amigo maguire. 2025," wrote Dulac.

While what Dulac is sharing isn't quite definitive, it is a positive sign that the Steelers are trending in the right direction for a game that has been a long time coming. Part of the hold up for another game in Mexico is that Estadio Azteca (the stadium in Mexico City where their soccer team Club America plays, and the NFL has used), has been under construction and won't be ready until the 2025 season.

A lot of talk about the Steelers playing the Eagles this year in South America. Not sure they would make a team play international games back to back.

Not sure why you would want the Steelers to play in Mexico.

Got a kick out of opening day for America's past time is in South Korea.

I certainly understand the reason the leagues want to expand to other markets. MLB has a lot of games. NFL teams have 8-9 home games. I know a few people who rely on those dollars they get working game day. They lose it when their cities team plays overseas. If I ran any Sport League I too would want to expand around the world.
