NFL says Hines Ward had 999 receptions, not 1,000

I cannot believe this. After the Steelers worked so hard to get him to 1,000 receptions apparently the NFL in their annual statistical review said that one of Ward's "receptions" in the last game against Cleveland was a lateral instead. No doubt on one of BA's infamous bubble screens. I feel bad for Ward. It's only one reception but it's a big one. You think this might compel him to unretire?

 

Wtf that is just dirty and very unprofessional of the nfl you dont take a guys 1000th catch from him. If i were the steelers i would put him on the roster for one game and tell him go get that catch.
