We seem to be the worse with adapting to injuries suffered by our starters. Lack of depth, lack of game plan…?

I think in the second half of the season they averaged 146 YPG rushing, now they need to improve the offense in the redzone, and get their PPG up.

there is your key word " last" year. now if we played the same team with the same players on both sides you might have an argument, but i hate to say we don't. i really hate the just because it was like this last year it will be the same this year crap. that's what it is , crap.

Im not taking away the clutch drives to win but barely scoring until the end of the game doesn’t constitute a powerful offense. To each their own I suppose enjoy this juggernaut sir.

you don't think what they added to this team player wise will make a difference? how many drives were killed by penalties last year? is this canada's fault too. you say take away the last second TD's in two games? why? wasn't canada responsible for those? they lead the league in long drives last year. isn't that under canada? youngest offense in the league last year. is that canada's fault too? 7-2 down the stretch and i don't want to hear about it not being against good teams, it's the nfl they are all top of the food chain. any given sunday. but that record couldn't be because of canada. only the bad, yea i know. because of last year it will be the same this year too. :bscow::cool:

I really liked the draft this year I’m optimistic about this team in a couple years but always concerned about the coaching staff. If you think Matt Canada is a good NFL Offensive Coordinator I don’t know what in the heck to tell you.

And all teams are equal not sure what in gods name that means? Bengals or KC is the same as beating the Falcons and Panthers? Got it.

All teams have penalties and injuries over the course of a season. Weak argument.

I know thanks for the update

I was talking about the end of the year offensive juggernaut we apparently became. That was week 1 with a rusty Burrow turning the ball over 21 times.

Still counts....more than one way to win a game. You do know most of the time the highest scoring offense doesn't win the SB.

Lol I’m not saying it doesn’t count but the conversation was around these guys saying the Steelers had a powerful offense at the end of last year, which we didn’t. Then saying all NFL teams are top tier therefore the same quality of a win, which is ridiculous.

Go back and read your post to which I was responding. That is exactly what you tried to do, discount those two drives. Now you are using another misleading tactic, constructing a straw man to attack rather than representing what I wrote honestly. I never said the offense was particularly good last season. It wasn’t, but it showed signs of progress later in the season. It has to progress more this year. Pickett has to take a big step forward.

Im not discounting them I guess what I’m saying is that without them to camouflage the other 58 mins of pathetic offensive football I don’t know how anyone could say this offense was “good” to end last season. JEH is the one who said it I thought you were backing him up but based on this post you are being realistic with your observation and assessment. I agree with Kenny he needs to take the next step to see if he’s actually a franchise guy. Tough to analyze though while Canada is calling a pop Warner offensive scheme.

You didn’t say the offense looked good to end the season?? I mean I guess if going from the worst offense in football to slightly better playing the Panthers and Falcons means a good offensive team once again that’s all you my man! Stairway to Seven!

I said the Steelers offense was puke sick last year if that’s stupid and inaccurate then I suppose statistics are stupid and inaccurate.
