It really is hard to get a true grasp on CAPs year to year, because the money can be moved. That said, the reality of going 'all in' when the figures are calculated can be very problematic. It was said Jerry this year should have signed Derek Henry as it was only 10 million, the 'boys this year were in CAP hell as it was due to Dak's hit. Probably could have found the 10 million, but as you wrote those things pushed down the road always come due.

 

The Lions especially, but the Pick and Vikes make that division look very formidable come playoff time.

 

The Chiefs snuck be the Panthers, the Vikes by the Bears. it is the whole package needed every week, hard to do in a 17 week season. Teams that were written off may actually sneak in (Miami possible). I think the hardest part for us is of our 3 losses we should have won at least 1 and even 2. It is those that can come back to bite you.

 

None of those teams in that division are good the 49ers just need to get healthy and go on a winning streak.

 

At the time of the losses to the Cowboys and Colts both of those teams had winning records IIRC.

 

Redskins sliding fast…they haven’t won a game since the hail mary at Chicago

 

Not ready for primetime, lol. That said the new ownership has brought new life and enthusiasm to the team and fans. If they can keep that staff together and build through a good draft they should be legit contenders in a year or two.

Indy sucks, paint that how you like too. 2.. count them… 2 horrible losses.
