I hate to say it, but they aren't passing on Willis if he falls to them at 20. I just hope they don't trade up for him.

I am also concerned that they might reach for Ridder or Howell in the first round. Neither guy belongs that high and they have too many other needs.

i think they are all in play in the first. no use hating to say it but i believe they are dead set on one of corral, willis, pickett, howell or ridder. just too many resources thrown at those guys so far. if they don't it would be the biggest misinformation campaign they ever undertook. i think they feel the more first rounders and first round ranked players they throw at the position the better chance they find one guy that rises to the top for them. here's hoping it works out.

If it's a QB you can bet the Steelers will run that pick up in the first few seconds of them being on the board

Man I sure hope you're wrong. None of those guys are worth a 1st round pick as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah, pretty difficult to have an argument without both sides. Although some seemed to get pretty close the other day when "both sides" were actually agreeing with each other, whether either or both knew it or not.

Alot of the other mock's I see Willis going top 10 so frankly I don't know what to believe. I guess that is why alot of people simply dismiss the whole thing as pure speculation.

I am guessing they haven't even finalized their own draft board at this point in time, but perhaps they will have Willis over all the WR.

I know Willis is a top 10 now and I am starting to see Picket ending up at the #20 selection.

I don’t know… at Liberty’s pro day Tomlin looked like he wanted to have Willis’ baby. If he’s there at #20, he’s going to be the pick.

My hope is a team like Carolina or Seattle take Willis in the top ten, that would keep the Steelers from trading up for him.

Tomlin and Colbert need to pick a player that can contribute Game 1.

Neither will be around long enough for a QB to be groomed.

I don’t want them to draft a wr in the first round, but if those are the only options I’m taking the wr. Not spending a 1st round pick on a project qb. Not with other significant needs.

Could be and the talk here for years if it does not work will be , could have had ???? (Nothing new here, lol). I just think the asking price to move up in the first will be to great. To go from 12 to 3 last year cost the 9ers a boatload. If Willis drops to 10 perhaps they have enough to move (I would not), but he seems to be the hot property right now (seems is a very voidable term). Likely goes at 6 or 7.

Ok this makes zero sense, again

Why would you pass on a QB if you can get a WR the 2nd

Are you still hiding from me

Tomlin isn't going anywhere unless he wants to go. He can absolutely wait for a quarterback to be in development for a year or two.

Yes, because I don't want to see them draft Willis.

Agree, I'd rather have the new OC involved in drafting the franchise QB.

Happens every year. Teams reach for qbs due to the importance of the position.

I'd rather them wait for next yr but problem is I don't think they'd have a high enough pick to get one the top guys.

Saints and Eagles involved in a trade that includes 8 picks,,,, thinking the Saints will go QB at pick #16 or #19

Or they’re going to try to package those picks to move up to #5 ahead of Carolina.

Ah, you just answered a question I had posted in the draft forum. That could be what they are doing.
