Yeah, we never know what these guys want or what the market is. For the right price, I'd look at him. There are just so many good WRs coming out and, honestly, with all the rosters adds this week, it would no longer be crazy for the Steelers to go WR at 20. I still want BPA on D at 20... but if some stud WR has fallen and is sitting there I'd be good with taking him.

Well it seems like the Steelers were screwed on an extra comp pick this year, so I say go get young veteran players that can play.

I do kinda feel bad for the guy. A couple weeks ago he talked about being so excited for the opportunity to take the reigns of this offense and show what he can do. This definitely took the wind out of his sales, I'm sure.

A smart Qb would go 2 the NFC....especially the NFC south. I mean really who is the competition in the NFC??? A bunch of Qbs that could retire at any time....even better NFC south has who at Qb???

Also didn't hear anyone mention Trubisky either. At least I didn't hear any of the team bring his name up.

I wonder if Mayfield would be going to Houston in the trade?

A suspension would then completely kill the Brown's 2022 season.

The numbers really aren't that close. The proper way to analyze statistics is to use a mixture of ratios and counting statistics. It is easier to sustain a statistical level in fewer games. Also, you have to factor in rushing statistics, an area in which Trubisky blows Rudolph out of the water.

You don't think it is particularly damning that none of them mentioned Rudolph as a viable option when asked about the quarterback situation?

It's to easy to divide a locker room if they do throw support for him. Better to keep their heads down and see how the wind blows.

Not talking favorably about an outside guy, and not talking favorably about guys already on the roster are two very different things. I don’t recall hearing anyone on the team say anything supportive of Rudolph this off-season. That silence speaks volumes.

Not really. They probably have been hearing that a Qb, or 2 was going 2 be brought in. They.... like some fans are hoping for Guys like...Wilson, Rodgers, Jimmy G,and Watson. So .....I do find it funny none said Trubisky either. Now they have nobody they asked for. LoL. No biggie. They better just make it work.

Quite a few expressed their confidence that the organization would bring in a good quarterback. I don't recall any of them expressing faith in Rudolph even before Trubisky was signed.

Trubisky has been there for two days. They had all offseason to this point to express their support for Rudolph and none of them did it.

Fake news. Omar Epps is making a Tomlin biopic there.

As well as Tomlin saying neither (Rudolf/Haskins) "are everyday starters."

I kind of expected a Free Agent QB, not a trade. That's what they did.
I still think they might nab a QB in the draft though I'd be surprised if they do it at #20.. I figure 2nd or 3rd rounds.

Lot of rumors around the league thinking they will pick Willis if he's there at #20 others think Pickett.
I think Colbert likes those sort of rumors. He can focus on what he really wants.

I was not aware that Tomlin said that. It makes me puzzle over why both Haskins and Rudolph are still here. As for taking a QB in the 2nd or 3rd, I’m wondering if any of the top 5 will be there for pick #52. I personally view each of those guys as late 1st round prospects. You know, the kinds of prospects that teams trade up to the back of the first round to take because they want the 5th year option for the QB position just in case the guy works out. Did you have any particular QBs in mind at #52 or #84?

I read the Texans approved the offers before allowing Watson to task to them.... if I'm Watson I decline them all and make the Texans pay me 40 mill... I would not accept any trade until after the draft... try to force them to cut me out take what team I likes offer no matter what it is

I doubt Tomlin ever said that, they're going to act like Rudolph and Trubisky are in a QB battle.
