Player movement even with qbs are becoming a thing. So the rams were dumb for getting Stafford? Bucs were dumb for getting brady? Broncos were dumb for getting manning? Saints foe getting Brees who the dolphins and nick Saban said no to? Getting a qb via trade or free agency isn't a bad thing.

If he's cleared if his indictments then why not? The steelers are in the business of winning games. Not the business of morality.

The Rooney family has tried to balance both. Any Steelers fan should know that. It is the same reason they have been so patient with Tuitt.

Didn't we give another accused rapist a hero send-off recently? I'm not advocating one way or the other, but fans tend to forgive and forget as long as that player is winning games.

If Watson can somehow come out of that mess clean (or clean-ish), then hell yeah I'd target him for the right return. And he could very well tell Houston he wants Pittsburgh and nowhere else. It might be for less than we think. The part about getting beyond his legal mess though is a huge issue and non-starter right now.

Rams got way more than Stafford
Bucs got way more than Brady....also Brady was not a trade for a picks , players and Money.
Brees is lucky he landed in NO....also no trade of Draft picks, players, or money. So really the only one that fits Your argument is Stafford that went 2 a team that just went 2 a SB 3 years before.
    Thank You...come again.

One was on a team that drafted Him, and He already took 2 a AFC Championship His 1st year, and a SB win the next.....the other will have 2 be traded for. We would not have traded for Ben . Big Difference.

I can't wait until the 16th when we will be getting some real free agent news.

When will we know if Haskins is anything more than a standard RFA? I am still hoping they do nothing with Haskins other than the standard RFA 1 year deal and let Dobbs beat him out in camp for the #3 QB spot.

Also, curious to see if any players follow Flores to Pittsburgh.

No they didn’t. DeSean Jackson was about the only other move they made of note in free agency.

Then they capitalized on the Browns mistake and picked up Beckham late in the season.

They had a team in place already, all they needed was Stafford to come in and lead them to the promise land.

I’d have to look up Tampas moves but I don’t think they did much of anything either except sign Brady.

22 different players on the team from the year before till the year after with Brady. I'd say that's quite a bit for Tampa.
Hmm. Really the Rams just last year got...OBJ, D. Jackson, Von Miller, Sony Michel , Eric Weddle ,....do I really need 2 go on???? Those are just off the top of My head. I bet I can find more.

I listed OBJ and Jackson. I missed Miller. That was a good addition, he also came in week 10. Jackson was lost for the season with an injury. Waddle??? LOL he played like 5 weeks, they picked him up in January in a panic move, he was 2 years retired.

I’ll have to dig into Tampas moves, wouldnt be surprised to find they aren’t that significant either.

Like it or not, Brady and Stafford are the moves that won them the SB.

Miller was a huge addition. He was a big factor in the playoffs, including two sacks in the Super Bowl.

Weddle was also a huge factor in the playoffs. Did you watch the postseason? He was actually calling the defensive signals by the end.

It is absolutely inaccurate to claim that those moves were not significant.

The same is true of the Bucs' other moves. The big thing they did was rebuild the offensive line, which had been a mess the previous season. Part of that was a draft. First-round pick Tristan Wirfs was a stud from day one. They also added Gronkowski and Fournette, who had mixed results during the regular season, but stepped up big in the playoffs.

In both cases, the teams did a lot more than bring in a new quarterback.

Waddle was a replacement because their secondary suffered a rash of injuries. Sorry but that doesn’t count for a seasons worth of contributions. STD makes it sound like they brought in 15 FA’s at the start of the season.

I gave the Miller move credit, I said it was a good addition, whats with you lately?

Anyone that thinks they win the SB if they had Goff at QB is high as a kite. They won because of Stafford. They already had a great team in place. Same with Brady. Give me a break.

    Per Schefter :.....................

Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson has completed his first two sessions of depositions as part of the 22 lawsuits filed against him, ESPN confirmed Friday. His attorney, Rusty Hardin, previously told ESPN his client would assert his Fifth Amendment right to not incriminate himself during his testimony until the criminal investigation had concluded. While the depositions were taking place, a grand jury sat in a Houston courthouse less than a mile away, hearing evidence about criminal complaints to determine whether Watson will face criminal charges

It counts as one of the reasons they won the Super Bowl. Again, did you watch the games? He was a huge part of that defense once he joined the Rams.

You tried to argue that the Bucs and Rams didn't do much other than add a quarterback. You were wrong. Accept it.

    Per Schefter again

Deshaun Watson will not face criminal charges. This is why Watson, from the beginning, welcomed a police investigation: He felt he knew that the truth would come out. And today, a grand jury did not charge him on any of the criminal complaints.
