I heard if you go to Homewood or East Liberty, it's a great view of The Point!

Yeah a great view of the gun pointing at you. I recommend that Roger Goodell takes a leisurely stroll through Wilkinsburg.

Layne and Brown were the first 2 QB's that I remember also. By the way Ed Brown was the QB on one of the greatest college teams of all time with the undefeated San Francisco Dons in 1951. The Dons had 11 players including 5 Hall of Famers that went on to play in the NFL. They were led by RB Ollie Matson and had Gino Marchetti and Bob St.Clair also on the team. Their HC was Joe Kurharich and Pete Rozelle was their GM.

On the bright side I'll be hanging out in Clairton for a few days checking out Stage 1 and the see what other old spots are still open.

Just kidding of course. Do not just go wandering around in Homewood or East Liberty. There are some good spots there, but like any city, you can definitely find yourself in a bad situation.

My Aunt actually still lives in Homewood. Her and my uncle pretty much lived in the same row house for over 50 years. There is some new yuppy developments going on there, mostly along the edges and towards Highland Park it's not bad.

East Liberty is hit or miss. For awhile there it was decent a place to go hang out around the new library building, I'm not sure what it is right now though.

Last time I went through there was 7 years ago though. Uncle told me not to just drive around looking at my old niegborhoods with the Florida tags.

Because of the Steelers you mean? Man I don’t go anywhere because of work. I haven’t even gone to a Yankee game in 10 years and I live here.

I meant for any reason. I either didn't realize or forgot you lived in New York. So do I, at least in the suburbs, but that's only for the last 20 years. I spent most of my first 32 years in Pittsburgh, with a few detours.

Hell, I've lived here for 20 years and never seen one, but I'm good with that. I don't care about either New York team, but Citi Field is the nicer ballpark and I've been there a few times.

Have to agree with that, Citi is a nice park, feels like an actual ballpark.

Although a cool feature of Yankee Stadium is you can see the game from anywhere with the way they have it all wide open.

I would try for the Sheraton Station Square. Ride the boats over to the stadium. Walk across the bridge to Point State Park or take the incline up to Mt Washington

I thought there were obstructed-view seats in the new Yankee Stadium, which is pretty much inexcusable greed. The only seats with an obstructed view in PNC Park are in the press box, and I think that was an intentional **** you to the local media.

Seen a fair share, long ago I had ticket package for Saturday games during the glory years. That was a heck of a team to root for and then Stick and Showalter weren’t there anymore to continue bringing in those kinds of players and then Cashman started bringing in players like Giambi and that was the beginning of the end.

Oh yeah definitely, we had to request new seats that they assigned us after the new Stadium opened because there was beam right in our view.

I just meant that if on line at the concessions or wherever you could just look towards the field and still see the game.

Gotcha. I haven't been, so I didn't realize that part. It's just funny to me that both New York teams got new stadiums more recently, but neither of them is as good as PNC Park.

Not too many baseball parks in the whole USA are as good as PNC,
    what a delight it is.
