I really hate people comparing plays like Ben's to Brady's tuck play. :(

Ben threw the ball, Brady fumbled. Ironically, what actually happened to Brady was not a tuck rule as we know it. I saw Belichick explain on tv how he knew he'd win the call with the tuck rule because earlier in the season, the same thing had happened with Vinny Testaverde. Of course, what happened to Vinny was more like what happened to Ben. He got hit while throwing, and basically threw the ball straight into the ground (forward).

What Brady did was pump fake. He completed his pump fake. The ball came to a stop. He was no longer making a throwing motion. Then the ball then even moved backwards (albeit a millimeter or two) and that's when he got hit and lost it. That's a fumble.

Call it what you want huge snack . I respect your opinion but you know as well as I do the NFL is biased. Many calls are based on the impact the player has on the NFL brand. Just watch the Giants game. :herewego:

Yes - if Simms is correct, then this makes the NFL look like both the most and the least controlling organisation at exactly the same time.

If it turns out that Simms' constant changing of his mind, sometimes mid-sentence, is due to external pressure, I might feel a little bad about all the names I've screamed at him via the tv.

I'm not sure I understand what you're referring to here. I share the opinion that Brady's play was a true fumble and not a tuck, and Ben's was an incomplete pass. I share the opinion that the NFL does not treat everyone equally (not even close) and that some players get better treatment (Brady, Revis) and some get worse (Ben, Clark, Joe Webb).
