I believe there could be lots of HC vacancies at the end of year.
Will we be able to hold onto Munch? Hell Haley for that matter?

I think the Lions keep Caldwell. And Fisher gets another year (at least) in Los Angeles St. Louis. And it wouldn't surprise me if Campbell keeps the Dolphins. And Jeffrey Laurie is a pretty patient owner. Kelly gets another year in Philly, even though he probably doesn't deserve it.
That leaves the NYG, Colts, Chargers and Browns as possibilities. The Browns job is toxic, I don't think any respected coach would touch that one at all. The other three teams have decent QBs. I could see Haley going to the Colts, if he wants a head coaching job. There would be too much scrutiny of him in NY. And the Chargers I'm not sure is a good fit for him. And I think Munch stays put.

I think Tomlin will be hired to be the duel double check coach of the Chargers and Raiders in LA next year - they will double his salary with half as much work since obviously - after all - who cares about relocated teams the first few years - everyone's just excited about all the new gear and logos.

Is McCoy out for the Chargers?, I hadn't seen that. Their offensive line was a shambles due to injuries. Reminded me of our team a few years back. A different line combination every week it seemed.

I say McCoy is out and Whiz is in.

Nothing in the local media about it.

Oh yeah I was just guessing. I figured since Whiz and Rivers got along so good that they might wanna bring him back and make him the coach. My buddy is really hoping that's who they get. You think Harbaugh goes to Indy?

Nah, I think Harbaugh is a head case and will stay in Michigan.
I don't think the Chokers will get a decent coach until after they move.

But are they for sure gonna move though? I mean it's obvious the players think they are going to but I don't know if the league has ok'd it or not. Or even if they will?

The owners vote on it in Jan. Even if it's not approved, Spanos and his attorney have so pissed off what comparatively small fan base there is, it's doubtful many people will pay to see a game.

They black out most of their game anyway don't they? Weren't the Chargers one of the main reason John McCain tried to get teams to quit blacking out games for teams that were getting public funds or something like that?

I don't know about McCain but, the Chargers can't sell out the stadium on their own. That's why they duped the city council into guaranteeing that the city would buy up any unsold tickets to avoid blackouts. When smarter people took office, they did away with the guarantee.

McCain actually raised a stink about certain stadiums blacking out games if they got public funds. I'm almost positive that San Diego was one of the reasons he raised that stink. His beef was that basically if people are paying for a product then they should have access to it. I remember it because my buddy was really happy about it because he could then watch Chargers games again.

LOL! Basically. I read the other day that he literally would let his players take breaks during practice so they could check their phones!

Wouldn't want anyone to feel picked on because they can't check facebook or twitter while AT WORK!

Coughlin just retired. I'm sure there would be a few "Real" fans on here that would want that geezer in Pittsburgh!
(He's a really good coach, just a bit too old)

I have always liked Coughlin. Poor drafts set the Giants back as much as anything.

Rumors were strong that Cowher would only consider the NYG job if he were ever to return to coaching. Now we'll see if they were just rumors or if there is any reality behind it.

I hope he doesn't. Who would voluntarily go into that pressure cooker!

I wouldn't like it either; I hope he stays right where he is. I also don't see the appeal of dealing with all that comes with coaching in NYC.

More pressure, true, but an organization run similar to the Steelers. Definitely a great team to be part of for a coach.

This is the only job I see him coming out of retirement for but I think in the end, hes a little too cozy where he is now and will stick with that.
