As stated in other threads, I think winning 10 games with all the adversity they faced is pretty amazing. Coach T. will get some votes (and deservedly so), but won't win it. It will likely be Rivera or Reid. Personally I don't get all the love for Rivera. They played a very soft schedule and they play in one of the weakest divisions in the league.

I don't think Tomlin will win the "Coach of the Year" award.
A lot of the issues he had to overcome were self inflicted.
He did a very nice job of holding things together with all the injuries/suspensions and still won 10 games and made the playoffs.

    Rivera Doesn't deserve it IMO

Let's remember Noll never won COY award....... A travesty in my opinion and I often over the years have wondered why? What's the criteria the voters were looking for and why/how he failed to meet those. Keeping this in mind, looking from the outside in, I have to look past using the win/loss record soley, or the occasional in season head scratcher still unexplained.

Why did Tomlin stick with Blake? Why did Tomlin wait so late in playing Boykin? Why did they bring in Vick after Brad G. went down when there were possibly better options?

The HC is the uncontested leader of the team, that team Must take on his persona and follow his lead. The HC job is more than X's & O's but about Relationships with players & Coaches AND Trust with those and allowing each Cog in the machine to function in order to achieve the set goal of winning. We know the obstacles Tomlin had to over come with Players on & off the field. We see how he let's his Coaches do their stated and defined task. We came up short of my goal of bringing home #7 but I like the job Tomlin is doing!! Sure, I can and most likely will continue to nit pick what he does but TODAY I stand here applauding the Overall job he did, from a guy looking from the outside in.........
