You conveniently skipped over the part where the Steelers were dead last in the league in rushing just a few years ago.
Last year they were a respectable rushing team with a less than ideal OL.

 

If we really do have the same issues this year then you have to look at the common denominator here and address it if your Rooney.

Hopefully Smith and OL coach have huddled this past week before opening
week at ATL and put the fear of God in this young OL group. They will need
to make large strides for this team to compete efficiently and effectively.

Apparently, a few posters got their hands on the new playbook and decided it's deja vu all over again. This, despite the fact that Smith is a heavy 21 and 22 personnel user and those groupings were hardly used last season.

I can tell you that I wasn’t cancelling other plans during preseason with a thirst of anything Black and Gold related to watch Tomlin’s product and cheeky end of game creative phrasing’s. It won’t have me torn between better options in the regular season unless the unlikeliest of miracles and we look good (not medicine of worse).

Can’t tell you how many things I brushed away, or over the years just how many times pulled myself out of the stream during peak fall trout season to watch them get stomped. Shell out plenty of money on gear or trek my happy ass to the city of rivers and bridges for a full fun blow out weekend to have them lay a low energy egg at home.

I know that’s football for some fans and I know teams have droughts, but this extend ended same ol keeping up on a decade pretty soon is for the birds.

This coach has far too much autonomy for my liking and the game is passing him and his sweet gig by like it did Don Shula years ago. Boring ball…

Dont shoot the messenger , shoot the leader. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results. Tomlin and Rooney lets focus all our money on defense has been a complete disaster and our franchise is the dodo bird of the league. We think we are building a team for 1974 not 2024. The new OC has a train wreck of an o line that other team solve in a year and we are in year 5. All our QBS get hurt and we dont get a running game going until way into the middle of the year. Should have fired Tomlin after AFC debacle against Pats. No one here really believes we will ever sniff another SB or even AFC champ game with him leading it Truth hurts.

 

Being that the messenger drew conclusions from preseason games where they don’t game plan etc than shooting the messenger is apropos

 

well, to be fair - we are drawing conclusions from the past 7 seasons or so, maybe 12 seasons....

No, I’m not bullish on this team and I’ve said why. We have a brand new qb room. A rookie starting at the most important position on the oline. A good possibility that we end up with 2 more rookies starting on the line. A new offensive coordinator and scheme… those things are not the recipe for success. I’m just not dumb enough to sit there and blame the coach for everything under the sun
