New Throwback UNI's for 2012?

What does everyone think about the Steelers wearing new throwback uniforms for two regular season games in 2012? Art Rooney II announced they will do this and the rumor is that they will be the ones they wore in 1967. Personally, I like the throwbacks they have worn the last few years, especially the gold helmets. Initially I'm a bit disappointed but will hold judgement until I see them. Does anyone remember the 67 uni's? It was before my time.

Not terrible I suppose but I don't seem then as anything special that I'd be excited about them wearing.

 

How about "throwing back" to the style they wore prior to the current editions- which also happen to be the style they wore in the 1970's? Hmm?

They're ok. I like the current ones, especially the helmets. The ones from the 90s were embarrassing.

Yes, I was young but I do remember those jerseys with the gold shoulders. Seems to me afterwards there was another fashion change around 1970 where they went a year or two with all white, both pants and jerseys. The pants had a huge black strip going down the legs. Then shortly after Bradshaw came on the scene they went with the black or white jerseys and gold pants worn during the Super Bowl years. Anybody else remember the all white uniforms? Didn't last long, thank goodness!

I seem to remember that there's some story about the 1967 strips having their colours run and fade in the wash.

I hope they've sorted that by now, or we'll look terribly silly.

At the risk of copying the ratbirds all black look, it still might be pretty cool to see us running out onto the field that way!

I think the 1967 jerseys look dumb. Why are the sleeves so long?

 

We might have new Jerseys since Nike is taking over NFL uniforms nxt season.

 

I think NFL teams are beating it to death with Throwbacks. If anything I'd wish we go back to block numbers like the old days.

 

COnsidering we lose the majority of the time we wear the current ugly ass throwbacks, I say no future throwbacks period. But assuming the NFL mandates it for more money on jersey sales, any change is a good one to break the jinx.
