Dude... just... whatever. LOL! Empire is the greatest sequel ever second only to The Godfather 2. Actually Empire is better than New Hope and MUCH better than Return of the Jedi. And don't even get me STARTED on how much better than all things Star Trek it is. This argument will never die though. At least not as long as I'm living. LOL. I respect Trekkies and Trekkers for their passion but the scope and scale of Star Wars is just so vastly beyond anything Trek has ever reached. I know a guy that owns a comic book store that I go to sometimes to get stuff if my normal store can't get it and me and that dude had a huge debate one day about which is better. This guy is an absolutely elite Trekk-ER and he wants EVERYONE to know that he's NOT a Trekk-IE but a Trekk-ER because the to be a Trekkie just means you like SOME Star Trek but to be a Trekker means you like ALL Star Trek. Under which camp do you fall? My in laws are Star Trek fans but they're not die hard but I bug them about Star Wars being better all the time.

You clearly have not seen Ep 1 and 2. LOL! Actually the best incarnation of Star Wars after the original 3 is The Clone Wars show. Man I mean it is really great for fans. The show is really targeted as much toward the adult fans as it is the kids. There's a lot of political elements to it and things like that. It is set in the prequel universe but it is vastly better than the prequel films. Well at least 1 and 2 but is as good as ROTS. Really the only episodes that even barely get on my nerves are the ones with stupid Jar Jar. George Lucas clearly made him for no other reason than to troll me. LOL. Check it out if you're a Star Wars fan and have netflix.

Really didn't care for 1-3 couldnt even really watch them. Star Wars will always be one of my greatest memories as a kid. 4-6 are epic and classic movies that will never lose their luster. I really hope the next few can even come close,as long as they don't get corny with the characters it should be awesome. Avengers is up next though.....can't wait.

LOL! I was hoping the irony wouldn't be lost. I just think it's kind of fun to pretend I'm a big, strong, man. The internet lets you be whoever you desire.

Yeah. It's really awesome. Watch it from the first and the stories are really cool and they go to awesome new worlds. It's also really cool knowing that Palpatine is a traitor the whole time and watching him manipulate the Jedi Council. Gen. Grievous rules in it too. He is actually my favorite character from the prequels.

I liked all 6 as well. Yes, Jar Jar was awful, yes, Ankin could get whiney but aside from those 2 things, I thought it was great. They should have made Darth Maul last longer, though, he was bad ass.

It's not like Return of the Jedi was perfect either, Ewoks? Really? I was a kid when I first saw it so I actually liked it then but now? Really? The original script called for the planet to be inhabited by Wookies, now that would have been awesome!

Dude don't be hatin' on the Ewoks! LOL! I love the Ewoks. I agree about Darth Maul though. He was a bright spot of TPM and then in like 5 minutes he's dead. I hated the fact that they made Vader out to be some whiny emo kid. The Anakin in The Clone Wars show is way cooler. The REAL crime of Hayden Christiansen though is the fact that George Lucas digitally inserted him in to ROTJ at the end when Luke is on Endor and sees Yoda, Obi, and then Hayden Christiansen standing there. The first time I seen that I think I about blew my top!

Well actually comic con is really more of a "poser fest". It has been overtaken by people that don't read comics but only watch the movies and THINK they are legit nerds. Comic con is one of my pet peeves because it has became more about what movie is gonna butcher the source material as opposed to you know, actual COMIC BOOKS! One of my buddies went to it a few years ago and had to ride a bus in and these girls rode with him and walked in there and said "they have comic books here?!" and he said "Yeah. That's why it's called comic con" and they were like "Oh! We thought it was because there is a lot of comedians here!". You can't make this stuff up! LOL! The actual best con is called Heroescon and it's in Charlotte every year in June. It is like 99% comic creators and artists. There are no b list celebrities there trying to get you to give them $40 for an autograph or something. It is sweet euphoria to me. LOL.

That didnt bother me, realistically they should have inserted the younger selves of all three but that would have been a crime to Alec Guinness.

When I was growing up they were comic books. Aren't they now known as "graphic novels?"

No. A graphic novel is a complete and contained story in one form. When a whole comic arc, like Batman 700-705 or something like that, is printed that is what's called a "trade paperback". A lot of people now are going the way of trade paperback because a comic collection can get really out of hand pretty quick. I have comics laying all over the place and they are just really hard to store. I've probably got thousands in boxes and hundreds more out of boxes. They're a major pain to deal with honestly. I still can't bring myself to not be an "issue" guy because I just love the feeling of having the actual comic in my hand. Also to get the trade you have to wait for months while the arc is being finished and then wait for the trade to come out.

Ironically though Alec Guinness would have kinda deserved it because he hated Star Wars with a passion. He thought it was just really stupid and not worth all the fanfare it gets. I heard a story once where he met this kid that was a huge fan and the kid asked for his autograph and he said "I will only give it to you on the condition that you never watch that movie again". That's pretty low dude. LOL. I still love Obi though.

Really? I never heard that. Wonder why the venom. Probably because he doesn't like it overshadowing everything else he has ever done.

Yeah, I've definitely heard the stories of Alec Guinness hating on Star Wars. From what I understand, as a classically trained actor, he thought the dialogue in Star Wars was poorly written drivel.

While the dialogue really wasn't genius level writing, it kept the original movies somewhat light-hearted (something the prequels failed to do) and made the movies fun.
