Seems like a drastic way to change the name

Might be cheaper to buy out the naming rights contract eh

    Arlington Park

There is enough room for a stadium and parking plus it’s on a highway and very close to I90

If they wanted to keep the Stadium downtown where it currently is, what could they do to facilitate that construction? IIRC Three Rivers was still standing while they built the new one and that's where the parking lots are now. Would they just shift a new one back over and then demolish the current stadium? Is there even any room there?

The RCA Dome in Indianapolis, Indiana, which opened in 1984, lasted less than 24 years for the Indianapolis Colts. The Georgia Dome lasted from 1992-2017. The Pontiac Silverdome 1975-2002. The Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome 1982-2013.

Acrisure Stadium keeps moving up on the oldest NFL stadiums being used. Soon Buffalo will have a new stadium. Have to keep up with the Joneses, the Jerry Jones' of the world.

I knocked off Lambeau Field off my bucket list this past year and loved it. I would definitely go again.

Heck of a deal isn't it?! Taxpayers help pay for it then get priced out of attending. Makes perfect sense right?!

Sorry, but that's the argument the owners use and it is has been debunked many times. In fact, if you take in account that the huge amount of money a stadium costs vs projects the money could be spent on otherwise they often have a net negative impact.

Acrisure is still a really nice stadium, it isn't really showing its age. A lot of those stadiums in the 80s were garbage and needed to be demolished.

The owners could say they want more seats in there, but can they really fill them ... honestly I have my doubts.

Many people nowadays would rather watch the game on TV.

Apparently you are new to the Steelers

People have been on the waiting list since 1995

And no they don’t want to watch it on TV

I’ve been going to games for a long time, seats might have been bought, but it doesn’t always look packed when you go to games.

They put that stadium in there 20 years ago, and they purposely didn’t make it as large as other teams around the league. They knew they could only fill it so much.

They only recently closed in that one end, and it really wasn’t a lot of seats they added. It was a conservative decision.

I don’t think we could go up to a 80K-90k stadium and they fill it on a consistent basis. Not unless they dropped the prices on tickets.

I went on the wait list in 2002 … 2 years ago my option came up to buy, but Covid screwed my job and I couldn’t swing the money at the time. Sux, but nothing much I could do. I was honestly shocked my number got called, but I’m assuming Covid screwed a lot of people, and pushed me up to the head of the line.

Hey, at least its a stadium in our country. In the state you live in. Its a hell of a lot better than where our federal tax dollars go.
