I’m not a moderator, just a guy on an online discussion board, but...

You should drop the psychoanalysis schtick. It’s insulting, it’s offensive, and it makes you look small.

 

You're the one who is all over the map posting about coma's and cartoon toys.

I posted about wanting a P-51 mustang, a real man's toy, a successful man's toy, because someone claimed I didn't have enough toys when I have all of the ones I ever wanted except that one.

You try to change the definition of things. You post strange ideas and claim that you are the one who is rational, so, anyone who is not like you must be irrational.

Heinzmustard hates the Steelers but to you that is a true fan, one who criticizes the Steelers constantly. To me, that's just a Raven's fan.

You guys want permission to constantly put down the team. You want everyone to side with you. The team, the coach, the players are all horrible and only YOU know what they should do. Well, you don't know what they should do.

Here's the thing, some people, especially men, don't like to reveal past trauma. They think it's weak if they reveal that they were abused as children by a drunk parent so they won't come out and tell you about it easily but you can tell that something bad happened to them because of their actions. If someone is CONSTANTLY bitter and negative then they didn't get something they wanted in life, something they felt they deserved.

Yeah, I hate the Steelers because I don't think Mike Tomlin is a good head coach.

I hate the Steelers because I don't think Ben Roethlisberger is as good as he was 10 years ago.

I hate the Steelers because I believe their defense is 2-3 players away from making a deep playoff run.

I hate the Steelers because I believe that Bud Dupree is a sub-par OLB.

I hate the Steelers because I believe James Conner is a more-than-adequate replacement for Le'Veon Bell.

I hate the Steelers because I point out that their offense is always rusty in the month of September.

I hate the Steelers because I think either Josh Dobbs or Mason Rudolph can eventually be the franchise QB after Roethlisberger retires.

Tomlin's winning percentage is better than Cowher. I don't know exactly where it ranks Tomlin among current head coach's but I'm sure he's up near the top. He's not a great coach but so what, he's OUR coach. The goal is not to always have the best coach in the NFL.

Ben's not as good as he was 10 years ago? Once again, so. That's not the goal.

Our defense is 2 or 3 players away from making a deep playoff run? Might be true but it's still going to be an exciting season and that's what it's about.

Dupree is a not as good as you want? So. Who told you that every OLB we ever draft is supposed to be the best ever?

Conner is good? We have a ways to go before we know for sure but so far he is looking pretty good.

The Steelers offense is rusty in September? With the new NFL rules against hitting in camp I think it's going to stay that way.

Your expectations are impossible which means you can never be satisfied with anything because NOTHING can live up to them. This is just football, it's supposed to be entertaining. It's supposed to be fun to watch.

Then started babbling about " daddy" and "toys". My coma comment was a joke it seems to me you missed which is surprising since you can read people's minds. The cartoon reference which you clearly didn't comprehend either was a joke as well ,aimed at your twisted assumptions about people's childhoods and the fact that your thought process is not from this planet....get it? What the hell does a healthy childhood have to do with being logically critical of an NFL team? I took a Psychology 101 course in college, but don't know much about it... hell, that was almost 30 years ago. My criticisms of the Steelers are justified with facts and history. People like Matrix are just too damned thin-skinned.

 

I don't have the black and gold glasses but I do have a Steelers flag, mini helmet, terrible towel, a book on the old Steeler players with all their stats, and many shirts/jerseys.

Jokes are supposed to be funny.

I don't have any twisted assumptions about people's childhoods. I've seen enough of what the supposed "Greatest Generation" did to their children behind closed doors. I'm actually surprised things are not much worse than they really are.

 

I'm gonna stop . He got me worked up and now I'm doing some of the things that I frown upon myself.
I apologize for the wise ass remarks to all you guys ....even you Matrix. It's not who I am but it shows just how easy it is to go 'there' . I think TSF is a much better place when we don't . Just try to remember we are all here for a reason,whether as optimists,pessimists and realists we are all still fans of the Steelers or we wouldn't be here. Look at some of the post counts around here...you can clearly see that there is a lot of passion. Let's do our best to respect one another's opinions and keep it civil....once again I'm sorry!

It's fine. I didn't have anything constructive to do today anyway except chase away the local fox that keeps barking at anyone who goes out onto the back porch.

Agreed. TSF is like my online family. I haven't put anyone on the ignore list. Am I aware i'm sometimes annoying? yes. Am I aware I can be pessimistic, yes. Am I sad that Glenn blocked me and now he can never quote me again? yes.

In the end we are all Steelers fans and want our team to succeed. It's been a 10 year mini drought that is driving us crazy that's all lol.
