    For any other metal fans out there, especially if you've ever liked anything by Megadeth in the early days, check out The Sick, The Dying.... And the Dead.

    Kiko Loureiro, the lead guitar player on this and the previous album, has been a co-writer with Mustaine, and the collaboration, IMO, has really paid off.

    This is easily my favorite album they've released since Youthanasia, and maybe since Countdown to Extinction. It starts hard and heavy and just goes non-stop. There are definitely some dynamic and speed changes for variety, but it's very well done.

    Reminds me of the early thrash albums, but with modern writing and recording techniques.

    Nothing Holds up 2 Peace Sells. They come close, but that album is a top 20 album of all time.

    I do love Peace Sells, but I have to say Countdown to Extinction or Rust in Peace are probably my top 2 Megadeth albums. I'd put this new album in my top 5 Megadeth albums, up close to all of those.

    Just about the whole new album is available on Megadeth's official YouTube channel, but other than the singles I posted in the other music thread, here are some of my favorites off of the new album. Mission to Mars is a little different than I would have expected, but honestly, it's grown on me and is probably one of my favorites. And I love the guitar during the verses of Dogs of Chernobyl.

    I got my physical copy at Target b/c it has an exclusive bonus track that is a cover of an old Sammy Hagar song, and Sammy sings with Dave on the track. Killer tune, every bit as good as Sammy's original, and super cool that he's singing on it, too. Apparently Dave asked Sammy to play guitar too, but Sammy turned him down and said he didn't feel like he could play along with Dave and Kiko's shredding.

    The bonus track is available as an individual download on Amazon, too.

    Mission to Mars sounds like The Cure at the beginning.

    Yeah, I talked my wife into going with me to see Megadeth in Cincinnati in September, but she's not into metal. She just enjoys going to concerts in general.

    I'd guess it won't unless they have the same one that is supposed to be a Target exclusive, but you can always download the bonus tracks from Amazon. It's only $1.29 per track.

    Listened to it this weekend as well. Pretty good stuff. And the gap between them and Metallica just keeps widening.

    Their new album is great, but they only played a couple of songs off it at ROK, i guess because of the time they had,....Side note i thought the Megadeth tour shirts were expensive , until i got a Iron Maiden, yikes... ( bought both by the way}

    How Much, and with dates???
    I can't purchase a tee at a concert without the dates on it.

    Dirk Verbeuren is Megadeth's drummer, now. He's incredible on this album.

    Yeah, I wish they would have done more TSTDTD songs when I saw them on Sept. 28, but they are doing a headline tour for the album in 2023. So they will have a much longer set and are planning on doing more from the new album.

    I think Brann Dailor is the best....plus He also is one of the singers.
