The 49ers send a 2018 second round pick to the Pats, they better hope Brady doesn't get injured.

With the way sf has been playing it's basically a late 1st round pick.

I have a sneaking suspicion that the Patriots completely fleeced the 49ers here. He's a UFA in 2018. I suspect he won't sign a new contract and will be back with the Patriots next year.

Bellychuck wouldn't do something that sneaky. Would he?

Good trade, but Kaepernick is obviously not an option, so who else should they sign? I'm thinking RG3 or Hoyer, but we'll all know very soon.

Wow, I was hoping Steelers would have been in on him in off season. Oh well draft we go.

Wonder why the headlines call this a 'blockbuster' deal? I know trades don't happen very often in the NFL, so I guess it's something to be excited about for some people, but I'd hardly call it a blockbuster. Backup for a 2nd round pick

It’s funny how much people fawn over Garrapolo. The guy has all of two starts to his name and people just assume he’s a franchise qb. The reality of it is he’s nothing more than potential at this point.

Wouldnt put it past BB but the flaw in that is Jimmy G wants to start and I doubt Brady is retiring after this season.

Would not surprise me personally. Doubt it entirely though.

That 2018 Draft Class of QB's?..... Yeah. Not looking too good for any of them really. Essentially taking a lottery ticket on the most important position does not sound all too appetizing if I am John Lynch.

On the other hand for someone like John Lynch, a hybrid defensive monster like Derwin James or a monstrous rushing attack led by Saqoun Barkley? No brainer there. Heck, add someone like Connor Williams too as the offensive tackle position is also returning to form after the success of the 2016 Draft Class and the continued showcasing of this years class in players like Ryan Ramczyk and Cam Robinson.

One last wild card for 2018? Quinton Nelson. Very seldom do I have offensive guards in the top 5 on my big board. Within the same vein though, very seldom do talents like Nelson appear.

Heard a great stat yesterday, Belicheat has traded 5 QB's while being in NE and NONE have a winning record as a starter. Pretty interesting stat considering so many think so much of who the Cheats draft or sign.

The 49ers will sign him to a longterm deal or franchise him, Jimmy wants to play not sit behind Brady any longer.

The Patriots wanted to sign Jimmy to a longterm deal but he didn't want to stay with them and sit the bench, the Patriots knew he would leave after the season as a FA so they got something for him.

    As suspected, NE signed Hoyer.

Now I know why I was hoping the Steelers would have been in on him. Won't be able to touch him now.
