    I just saw the latest number minutes ago released by the CDC. 11,405 have died after receiving the vaccine. That sounds really bad but keep in mind how many Americans have gotten the vaccine? 100 million or more?

    I think what you are talking about is people who after being vaccinated and contracted Covid have died. 11,000 people have absolutely not died from the vaccine itself and if such a number is out there, it’s probably from VAERS which is meaningless since anyone can log a side effect or death without verification.

    Of the people that have died from Covid even after being vaxed, pretty sure they have all been elderly.

    Not my point. My point was the OP saying people shouldn’t worry about the death rate since it’s apparently very low.

    That's not the CDC's numbers. That's VAERS. VAERS is a reporting site for issues with any vaccine. Doctors are required to report anything. Anything at all following a vaccine there including sunburn or menstruation. The CDC and FDA then review the reports and investigate to see if it warrants study for causation. Here's the rub. ANYONE can report to VAERS. Not just doctors. You or I could. It's like YELP. There's reports filed of invisibility, broken bones, turning into the Hulk, and my favorite - turning into a newt.

    Reports in VAERS do NOT indicate causation. Think about it. 16 woman out of tens of thousands reported blood clots, and they shut J&J and AstraZeneca down until further investigation. 16!!! You really think they just don't care about 10k deaths? Or is it possible that maybe, just maybe, they've already ruled them out?

    I mean, out of 100 million people, in any given month you'd expect a few thousand deaths overall regardless of cause.

    But even if every single death reported was accurate (meaning someone actually died and not a BS report), and even if all of them were proven to be caused by a vaccine, 10k out of 100 million is minuscule odds. But... I'll grant you that may still be too much for some people. I refuse to fly even though I know the odds of a crash are very low.

    It’s really pretty simple. When your actions negatively affect others then that’s a problem.

    People getting the vaccination don’t hurt those who choose not to, but those who choose not to get the vaccination have a good chance of negativity affecting others.

    I have a feeling as this new wave is hitting that eventually they’re going to mandate the vaccination or people who refuse are going to be quarantined to their homes.

    I just went back and looked and it was the VAERS report that was linked to the CDC. I never heard of VAERS so thanks for the verification.

    They started requiring proof of vaccination in Europe to enter businesses. We are probably on the same path. People will have to choose between their convictions and convenience.

    Roonatics point is you are already putting “poison” into your body.

    Lot of people will end up getting the vaccine rather than a major disruption to their lives. Like Glenn, a big part of the reason I got it was to be done with masks.

    Of course the NFL wants the most people as possible to be vaccinated, look at the problems that Ravens strength coach caused last season, they had many infections on their team disrupting the schedule.

    It wouldn’t at all surprise me if you are confined to your home and possibly arrested if caught out if not vaccinated

    When all this happened last year they had lockdowns and people weren’t supposed to be out unless they were going to an essential job. Now they didn’t really enforce it, but I could see it going that way if the stuff starts back up again.

    Yet those who feel risked, want everyone else to have to do what they do. And now you have the NFL penalizing players to forfeiting a game and making vaccinated players pissed off they won't get paid.

    If someone is afraid and believes in it. They can do whatever they want. But don't push it on others or worse make them penalized.

    The NFL is a business. They’re setting rules. Players can choose to work elsewhere if they don’t want to follow the rules.
