They aren't going to punish the team with forfeits if a vaccinated player tests positive for Covid.

I understand and I am not saying that most companies would fire a person a whim especially a member of a protected class or discriminate against someone. The fact remains that barring those circumstances they don't need a reason to let someone go typically most companies give an employee enough rope to hang themselves before moving to terminate. In the case of the Vikings OL coach who was let go the Vikings and NFL established a standard and those not following it can lose their job provided that they are not breaking Federal and State labor laws.

We had a guy who thought he was untouchable because he was a member of the Chippewa tribe. He got a lot of slack until it was all documented that he was habitually late, continously missing work and not meeting the standards. Then he was let go.

The league is trying to get the players to get vaccinated so they won't have the problems they had last season.

It’s like the warranty on your car. If you change the oil at the recommend intervals then your covered if something happens to your engine. If your a numb nut and run it 30,000 miles between oil changes your probably gonna void the warranty.
    Preventative maintenance is the key.

Players and coaches that don’t do the “ preventative maintenance” are at risk of voiding their careers.
I know rules are a hard thing to grasp for some, but they’re the rules. Follow or get **** canned. Pretty simple.

I respect your choice. Both my Dad and my wife's have pace makers with my dad having 4 stints. I have a long and detailed family history of heart disease and high blood pressure with both Grandpa's dying of heart attacks. I have high BP and Cholesterol and take 3 different meds to control it as well as a documented migraine disorder since I was 5. I had a rough go of Covid-19 and reaction to the shots both of them. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't change anything because I have a father daughter dance with my 8 yr old in a few weeks that I don't want to miss. I wish you good health. I hope everything works out for all our board members and you all stay safe.

Since when has life been fair? Unless you’re a millennial then you just pout till you get your way.

Just a point (as someone who isn't close to a millenial): Dads have been telling their kids that "Life isn't fair" at least since 2000 BC. And kids have pouted.

Silly that the NFL is freaking out from a virus that kills less than 0.5% of the age group of these players. And the other 95.5%+ fully recover.

They started a long time ago with being sissies with removing clotheslining. And eventually moved towards idiotic stuff like how you could and couldn't touch a QB, tackling, etc etc.... WR's used to fear running across the middle, and now you got a WR that weighs a buck 25 soaking wet crossing the middle and getting yards out of it.

We're missing out on so many great talent players because of all this crying.

Won't be long until they move games just because of drizzle of rain.

It's sad there is men who are 65+ who play harder football in their back yard with a lightning and a cough.
It's sad there is women in lingerie who can put a hit harder than what the NFL allows.

Football is becoming more and more where you don't care to watch it. And you turn it on the news to see if your team won, just like the world series for baseball. Instead of wanting to be at the game and you're afraid to go take a leak because you're afraid you'll miss seeing someone's helmet fly off.

Ask Jon Rahm about that. In case you are not a Golf fan he had a 6 shot lead with one round to play and tested positive for covid. They made him stop playing. Cost him about 1.4 million dollars but karma was good to him. He won the U.S. Open. I think Rohm had one shot but not two at the time and he did not get sick from covid. Side note: his wife has one hell of a body.

I do agree with you that if a vaccinated player test positive they won't punish the team.

I do understand your thought process. I always said the 70's Steelers would not have been as good under today's rules but you know how health issues have taken over in the NFL. I'm sure the players want to have longer careers and healthier lives after their career is over but I sure do miss the old rule book.

Sure that would only kill off about 10 players a year. 10 humans with families. Sure, that’s a silly thought.

I keep a mental list of the 20 dumbest posts on this board. You may have moved to the top.

I just sent a note to Blast asking if he could. This happens for some reason every time I upload from my phone. Fixing it is beyond my technological ability.

Edit: If anyone else can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

Second edit: Telling me to go to hell is not considered pointing me in the right direction.

The dog is a rescue. Street dog from Kuwait. She actually has a passport. She’s still working on manners but is an absolute sweetheart.
