Well if they are the Steelers better get on it because they don't have one worthy to take a high percentage of plays in the Nickel and dime.

Yeah sorry I don't see it as a need. Three 2nd round and 1 third round picks ay the WR position. Ebron is a former #1 pick and basically another WR. Ray Ray coming along in special teams and situational downs.

If the issue is drops then denigrate their status and/or release them Ebron got an extension. Dionte didn't lose a spot on the depth chart. The Steelers couldn't have asked more out of Claypool with 11 touchdowns his rookie year.

And regarding Washington, the question is why he hasn't got more opportunity. It's not because he sucks. It's because there are only so many balls to go around. Next man up and imo it should have been his time for an opportunity. He's a cheap option ar WR so the Steelers could have focused elsewhere at other positions of true need.

The comparisons to Dupree's first four seasons are irrelevant to the subject of the team in 2021. I'm not disputing that Highsmith has some ability and could be a good player. I'm talking about what the Steelers have right now, which is a weaker pass rush than they had until Dupree got hurt in 2020. Highsmith is a downgrade from Dupree against the run and pass. Also, they have to replace Highsmith as a top outside linebacker off the bench and all they have right now is Marsh.

Washington has had opportunities. He just doesn't make plays consistently. He disappears far too often.

Smith-Schuster's cap hit for 2021 is under $2 million. He didn't cost the Steelers Nelson. He didn't cost them Alualu. He didn't cost them Hilton. They are better with him than without him. 'Nuff said.

    Didn't draft many from 2000-2006:

    LaVar Glover (7th round)
    Ike Taylor (4th round)
    Ricardo Colclough (2nd round)
    Bryant McFadden (2nd round)

Being raised over @Formerscribe really isn't much to write home about, but raised none the less!

If you're on the way to a party (and a six-pack was actually sufficient) and showed up with only 5, then maybe you're worse off. But if you pass half a dozen convenient stores on the way and end up with 5 cans of Miller Light, one can of Corona, and a lime, then someone is going to be really happy you dropped one. Point is that it doesn't matter what you have until the drinking starts. ;)

If Washington was targeted like DJ, we would have moved the chains more often, had fewer drops, and been a more consistent offense. He didn't disappear, he just wasn't targeted. Not his fault.

I agree wholeheartedly on the point about JuJu, however.

Primanti's newest menu item, the Scribe Sammich! You eat it on your knees with both hands raised and looking to the heavens. It has enough cheese to constipate a horse and an unknown substance that smells a little fishy. The rest of the ingredients are a hodgepodge of leftovers on the verge of expiration, things that no one really cares for, but tolerate.

DJ got the ball forced to him, AB 2.0. You know that Ben has his favorites and will "find" them open...even when they're not.

You guys clowning on him, but I’ll give him credit he rarely comes to a debate without facts to back up his argument. When you’re on the other side of it you can be made to look silly.
