Here is how I see our remaining needs:

1.Third edge guy (immediate need): I don’t know that we many viable options left in the draft for getting an edge guy who can log significant quality snaps. Maybe Herbig. Maybe Henry from Clemson. I liked watching film of Yasir Abdullah from Louisville, but he may be even more undersized than Herbig. It’s possible that free agency could be a better option for filling this need for 2023. I wonder if we can get Leonard Floyd or Yannick Ngokouae to accept a rotational role on a 1-2 year contract.

    2. Box Safety (we can get by in 2023): I think there are possibilities remaining. Anthony Johnson from Texas A&M. I watched a fair amount of film on Jammie Robinson from FSU, and I think he’d be good value in the 4th. Maybe Anthony Johnson Jr. From Iowa State. There are a lot of other safeties who have potential l but probably aren’t ready to log significant snaps in 2023. There are so many that it’s possible that we could get a developmental safety in the 7th. We can get by in 2023 with what we’ve got, but I’d really rather get one of the guys I listed above so that we can get quality snaps. I don’t really trust Neal to be any better than Edmunds.

As a wild card, could Ringo be a high-potential developmental safety prospect? He could immediately be a good man coverage option on LBs, and he already plays with more physicality than a typical college corner.

    3. Nickel: Like box safety, we can get by. However I’d really like to upgrade from Maulet soon. He’s a below average player. Both Johnsons that I listed above have quality experience playing nickel. Versatility is good. Clark Phillips from Utah and Tre’Vious Hodges-Tomlinson have flashes of Mike Hilton aggression and football IQ.

    4. ILB: We could add to the room, but it depends on what’s expected from Robinson. I’m not seeing a guy who I think provides value at pick 132, but we could add a developmental guy in the 7th.

    5. Outside corner: We could double dip and get a guy like Cory Trice or Darius Rush. That would leave us with very inexperienced depth.

    6. Wypler is still available. He was part of the Pro Day dinner with Ohio State guys. We don’t need a center right now, but he would be a big upgrade over Moore as the back for 2023, and could be the long term starter.

Definitely that 3rd ILB, and I'm pretty sure baby herbig is coming to town

ILB could be filled if Khan has more magic in him to get another 4th or get us back into the 5th...... Owen Papoe would be a great developmental piece

Backup C should be on order as well as a 3rd qb

I think they'll look to a UDFA for a QB.

Has Clayton Tune been drafted? QB from Houston. He may be a UDFA they could offer if he isn't drafted

Perhaps Stetson Bennett? I've read he might not even get drafted.

Some of these will be taken care of with undrafted guys or camp cuts.

I would never bet against Stetson Bennett again. With his storybook career it wouldn’t surprise me if we grabbed him as a udfa and he ended up our starting qb.

Dawand Jones. Jones and Jones bookends, I would so do it.

I know he upset them, upset them so much they canceled his visit but man, that would be some line.

Edge at 132. Hopefully they can package Dotson for another 4th.

The two 7th's could be receiver, corner or safety.

Getting a 4th for Dotson would be quite a coup. I’d be happy with a 5th round comp pick for him.

His name definitely crossed my mind. I really think that we need to get back in the 5th and 6th rounds. Super Seniors really made this class deep in talent. I'm willing to part ways with Dotson and Chux to make that possible. An addition of Dawand really makes that possible.

I think the greatest need on this team right now is MLB and it's not even close

I said this to my son last night. Dotson isn’t going to be a part of the starting 5 anymore and is unlikely to even dress on game days. Not sure what his value would be, but he’s a guard with starting experience… If we could get a 4th or 5th? Seems like a no brainer.

Stetson Bennet would be a good back up choice and I’d bet my life he’d kill it at training camp. Guy was a b2b national champion.

    Slot CB in 4th.
Trade Dotson for a 5th and get an Edge.
Two 7th’s get a MLB and QB.

Some of you are assuming that Bennett would even want to sign with the Steelers if he were to go undrafted. If there is a significant amount of interest in him from several teams, I would imagine he might want to choose a team where there's a better chance of him working his way in to a starting role. The Steelers don't exactly fit that description.

They will draft at least 1 QB. They need 4 total for camp.

We will definitely take an OLB.

I would love a Center of the future, but looks like we passed on all of them.

He upset the Steelers and everyone else. Also sounds like he's 400 pounds right now.
